Spotting in luteul phase

Hi,
I have been experiencing spotting during my luteal phase ever since having my Mirena coil removed in January (before the coil my periods were text book)
My partner and I have started TTC and I'm wondering if anyone has tried any suppliments to reduce spotting/increase progesterone?

Thanks 🙂

It can be caused by loads of things - low progesterone, cervical ectropion, to name just a couple. Could be worth chatting with GP as any mid cycle bleeding should be checked out. I’ve had less spotting since taking vitamin b6 which I have heard is good for lengthening luteal phase/increasing progesterone.

I also had this, started about 12 months after I had DD1. I've put mine down to cervical ectopy and swabs and smear etc all clear. I was worried it would stop me conceiving again but it hasn't and I am now 36 weeks with DC#2.

Interestingly the month I got pregnant I didn't spot in the luteal phase at all x

Thanks so much for your responses ladies. I haven't heard of cervical ectropion before so I'll look that up.
I've ordered some b6, zinc and magnesium which I'm sure will be beneficial whether it helps the spotting or not. I think you're right @CurlyWurly1991 , an appointment with my gp might be my best bet. X

I had spotting between periods and a short luteal phase of about 8/9 days. I also had a cervical ectropion. I started taking 50mg of B6 and 500mg of vitamin C and the spotting reduced a lot, and I became pregnant 3 months later.
