So, I've recently being diagnosed with Polycystic ovaries. On cycle day 34, I started spotting, very light, brown/pink in colour, it lasted 4/5 days so just took that as my period as I know having PCO, this isn't unusual. Having said that, my periods are usually a medium flow and deep red in colour.

Anyway, I've decided to start the ovulation sticks to get an idea of my cycle and to understand it better. Started a few days ago, when I finished bleeding Saturday. The tests have been pretty positive.

My question is, is it normal to have random ovulation this close after a "period"?

Hi @mummabearxoxx yes it is possible (i had a dominant follicle on cd6 last cycle and ovulated on cd9) there's also a small possibility that the bleeding may have been implantation and your opk could be picking up hcg which also happened to me a few months ago. If I were you I'd take a pregnancy test just in case. If it's negative then take it that you might just be ovulating super early. Fingers crossed it's the first case scenario 🤞

This did cross my mind, but obviously wouldn't want to get my hopes up as I know ovulation can be all over the place with PCO! Think I will grab a test today, did think it was odd I had such a light "period" as it wasn't enough to even fill a pad over the whole bleed. Thank you!
