Hello,

I am on cycle 16 of trying to conceive baby number 2. I am 32.

I have all the tests and I’ve been told they are all normal including a HSG and a private ultra sound.
I have currently challenged my GP as my progesterone was 27 at 6DPO (7DPO was a sat so it wasn’t offered) this was in May and I have since read that it should be over 30 to confirm ovulation.

I have a cycle between 27 and 34 days depending when i ovulate which is usually 17/18/19 then a 10/11 day luteal phase. Although last month didn’t get a positive ovulation test until cycle day 22. I have just started taking temp as well as ovulation testing which I’ve done for over a year.

I currently take viridian multi vitamin for conception, omega 3, nac and COQ 10. I also have had acupuncture weekly for the last 2 months.

Has anyone got any suggestions of anything else I can do or take that may help me? Lengthening my luteal phase or bringing forward ovulation or quite frankly ANYTHING 🤣

Im at a loss with it all!! Thanks x

Have you had feretin , b12 & vit d checked ?

In march my vit d was 33
Then over 4 months got it to 77

Now its 89

Started trying to concieve in jul

Concieved from aug ovulation
But early miscarriage

My feretin was 8 in april
Had iron iv.
Now its around 100

B12 was too low
Currently 300 ish

Best to get gp 2 authorise tests
4
B12
Vit d
And feretin

Ideally they all need to be good 4 conception
& pregnancy

I recommend the book - it starts with an egg

Thank you @worldwidetravel2017!
I have and all my levels were good I’m told. I previously a few years ago was on iron tablets but all seems level now and I haven’t needed them! Perhaps I could ask for a retest as well.

I started to have a look at that book and another one that was recommended hence the different vitamins but I get a bit lost and over whelmed by them!!!

I will go back and have another look- thank you for responding! X

Def get feretin checked if it hasnt been checked in last 4 months

Some females dont concieve til good iron

Raisins - apricots - peas - wheatabix etc v often 4 iron

Lotsa egga and potato for b12 ..

Vit d - def get retested if not checked in last 3 months
Esp with uk winter
Most brits are deficient and thats without trying to get vit d @ optimal levels 4 conception & pregnancy

B12 - vit d and feretin are not included in standard full blood count

I also highly recommend
Hertility health

I used them spring 2022.
And this summer

Private hormone and fertility tests

150 gbp well spent.

Have you been checked 4 fibroids ?
If not ask gp for transvaginal scan to check structural

XXCDXX · 31/10/2023 15:03

Thank you @worldwidetravel2017 really helpful info. I will ask about this.
was looking at Hertility for some re testing so think I’ll go for it and just bought a progesterone testing kit from Randox to do this month too.
yes I’ve had abdominal and trans vaginal scan and there was nothing seen then, no free fluid or cysts or mass seen and everything appeared normal on the scan. Had HSG last month and all normal and clear there too!

Has your other half had sperm analysis?

worldwidetravel2017 · 31/10/2023 15:06

Also - bit out there but you could get thyroid checked ?
Can effect various things
I got mine checked on tommys advice after early miscarriage

XXCDXX · 31/10/2023 15:08

@worldwidetravel2017 yes to sperm analysis all fine- actually thinks he has super sperm after amazing results 🤣🤣
I haven’t done thyroid but I think that’s included in Hertility isn’t it as that’s one that I’ve been thinking of!
it’s crazy but didn’t take a second thought with my little girl so I’m at a loss why it’s taking so long this time- although not naive to it!
