OPK and EWCM conflict!

If you had EWCM about 8 days ago (roughly CD 13/14) but positive OPK yesterday and today (CD 21 and 22) which would you go off when trying to predict ovulation??

No real ideas but I am curious on the answer so am bumping your thread! I am aware OPK's can be unreliable so personally I think I might feel a little safer using EWCM but I know that sperm can often confuse the issue when monitoring CM. Am perfectly willing to be corrected though!

Personally I would follow the signs when EWCM comes..or some ppl says charting the temp is more accurate, but that would be when ovulation or egg has been released already isnt it?

Both could be right...it is possible that your body geared up for OV 8 days ago and didn't for whatever reason (stress, illness, etc) and it having another go.

Do you any ewcm now? Did you have -ve OPK's 8 days ago?

And...are they definitely positive (as dark as or darker than the control line)?

Yes definately positive - I've used one cheapy ebay strip and the line was as dark as it could get. Also used a clearblue digital and got a big smiley face!

no have absolutely no ewcm now and yes got negative OPKs 8 days ago (very negative, not even a faint line).

There was nothing obvious 8 days ago (ie stress/illness)

Anyway I suppose the only option is to keep on BDing for a couple more days!

hey! I had EXACTLY that! Except the positive one was last thur with no EWCM at all! Pretty sure i asked the same Q at the time! Hard to know what to go by. I think just a case of making sure you BD around the same time of BOTH ewcm and the +opk..
