Hey this is my first time on here in a while, we’re trying for our second baby (our little girl is 7) just wondered if anyone else is 13 dpo atm with a BFN too?! Due on tomorrow😢 Or anyone that went on to still get a positive?! I’m 37 so worrying, with our first we conceived quickly. I’m an overthinker! Xx

How long have you been trying? I’m 36 and in cycle 13 (3dpo) and nothing so far. I’m in a ttc thread too and the norm seems to be not conceiving for at least 6 months. I don’t mean to dismiss your concern, you must be upset and I’m sorry about that. You’re not alone though.

Do you track ovulation? At 37 I’d recommend this so you can make the most of your fertile window. Get him to abstain from ejaculating for three days before you try. Then try and have sex the day before you ovulate then every other day for four days after. Also take pregnacare and WellMan vitamins. This is all advice I’ve had from healthcare professionals.

I wouldn't be disheartened if it doesn't happen first time round. On average it takes a few cycles to conceive.

I’m 10DPO today & BFN too but I never got a hint of a positive until the evening of 14DPO with my little boy!

Hi, I'm in the same annoying boat! I'm 14dpo, two days overdue, and BFN. I am almost 100% sure that I have symptoms, including some that are hard to wish into existence, like nosebleeds (several days ago) and implantation bleeding (some small brown spots today). I'm starting to feel more anxiety than hope though as from googling it looks as though getting a positive result past now is much less likely to end well. I do hydrate very well, which would maybe delay BFP? And the fact I've had symptoms for days gives me some hope that I could have implanted in good time but be low baseline levels or over-hydrated, but I'm mostly just worried and confused at this point!

@Jess87 hey there! I know I’m a few days late but I am currently 13 dpo and just got a BFN. So disheartening. Just wanted to check in! Since we are so close we could potentially be buddies next round! I am an over thinker as well and pretty much in the same boat!

Hi guys! I am on cycle 13 of ttc so obviously have not actually been successful. I’ve picked up a few things from medical professionals along the way on this journey so I thought I’d share in case it helps.

I have attached an advisory picture of which day to start trying from depending on your cycle length. A urologist that DH saw said that it’s best to abstain from ejaculation for three days before trying to conceive as the sperm will be best at the three day mark. So maybe look up which day you should start to try based on the picture and have your DP abstain for three days before this. It’s not realistic to only dtd every three days once you’re in your fertile window so every 1.5-2 days should be a good balance for allowing the sperm to regenerate and also getting enough tries in.

My GP has said that Clearblue ovulation test kits are gold standard so it’s a good idea to use these if you would like. Also, pregnacare pre-natal vitamins are a very good brand. They’re often 3 for 2 at Boots too! There is a male version of pregnacare called ‘WellMan fertility’ but this is less well proven to do anything. So try it if you like but the pregnacare is the really important one.

DH and I have had the standard tests (semen analysis for him and ovarian reserve and progesterone level blood tests for me) and we are ‘normal’. This means it’s very likely stress causing us to not conceive. Stress is a major factor in many cases of infertility of unknown causes. So look after yourself and remember that we are all living in objectively tough times. The last thing you need is to be beating yourself up over not conceiving; this will make your stress worse!

Best of luck to you all, I hope to hear some success stories soon xxx
