Those of you who have been pregnant and had cramps, would you have been able to tell the difference between these and normal period cramps if you didn't know you were pregnant?

Are there any differences?

Be good to hear some first hand experiences! Smile

Based on the posts in this forum, I don't think there's a discernible difference. Optimism bias makes people associate natural motions with potential pregnancy symptoms.

No, I couldn’t tell the difference.

I'm 9 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my first pregnancy and my cramps have been exactly the same, but a lot less painful. I experienced debilitating period pain and my pregnancy cramps have been nothing in comparison. But have been the same type of pain, just less severe. My only symptoms of my pregnancy before my missed period was a lack of pms symptoms. Then the night before my positive test I felt extremely nauseous.

Nope, felt like AF was about to arrive both with my first and this time. I'm 10+1 today and actually had some more mild cramps this evening but earlier on 5-8 weeks I'd say they err proper period cramps! Had an early scan because of them & baby was all good 🙏🏼
