Can you get pregnant without having periods?

This might make me sound really stupid, but was wondering if you can get pregnant without regular periods. I havn't had a period since July! my dd is nearly 3.5 and i didn't have a period after she was born until she was 16 months. Iv'e been for ultrasound to see if there's a problen and nothing wrong. longing for no 2 and dp agrees the time is right. can anyone help. thanks

THnaks for replying. Am not sure what is going on with my body at the moment. After the mc, my cycle was 35 days, then 28 (which it always has been before ) then 10 (bit of a bummer) and now waitng for the next AF. wish everything would just get back to normal as I'm really keen to have another and am very consciuos of time runing out........
I've a feeling the 10 day bleed was (lack of) ovulation related so am going for a blood test to see if I'm o'ing or if everything really is up teh creek.
