5 days late

So, like the subject line says- I’m 5 days late. No idea we’re AF has gone? I’m usually regular 28-29 days. I’ve tried two pregnancy tests and both negative. Doesn’t help that im longing to be pregnant. What else could it be?

A pregnancy test would definitely be detecting by now. I think it’s the loss of control over my body completely as well….. just waiting for it to arrive. Had really sore boobs the last couple of days as well. So I thought we’ll if I’m not pregnant at least AF must be on her way. Aggghhh. Currently on a waiting list through the hospital for fertility treatment too. They’ve told us it’s up to a 17 week wait until we hear from them. It’s only been 7 weeks. Feeling so fed up! I think I just want a hand hold.

@SlinkMcSlink I’m here to hold your hand ✋🙃 I can’t give much advice however happy to share my own experience - we seem to be quite similar in situations which is always a small comfort I find 🥰

So I’ve typically always been regular 28-29 cycles too and last month everything went a bit bonkers at 33 days 👀 I was getting negative tests and shortly after, AF did arrive.

Just as yourselves, we’re on the waiting list for fertility (well assumedly - our specialist has sent an IVF referral form). They said it would be 26 weeks and we are perhaps 5 weeks down - so still a way to go.

Hopefully you’ll get a BFP and your situation will be different as I’m currently very confused and my cycle this month has been equally as bizarre. I’ve not tested religiously for ovulation however when I have, it’s clear I haven’t or I’ve ovulated super early. Who knows! I just know I want a normal cycle back ASAP ready for the rigmarole of everything that’s to come further down the line. I don’t think worrying has helped mind you - last month I felt chilled but work had me super stressed so I think that had something to do with it 😅

Hope you’re ok xx

I don't know why but when we were TTC I had some periods coming 1-1.5 weeks late. Then they returned back to regular. I have seen some threads about this so it seems to happen.

@Yolo23 Thanks for sharing. Also the same with work the last couple of months. There’s a lot to be said about stress! Testing to ovulation gets too much sometimes in real life then I start to not believe that they are reading accurately or I need to go home and spoil a day out just because I need to test at a certain time. So then I know I’m not doing it accurately. It’s just disheartening really, I get it.

Thing is during the summer when I was off (teacher). AF arrived bang on 28 days but seemed to be at rubbish times like on a holiday abroad and then when I think I’m ovulating, partner has to do extra shifts in work. The world keeps putting things in the place.

@Olika That’s really interesting about the ttc and being late. I wander what the Science is behind it?
