Letrozole - what should I expect?

Hello everyone

I'm going to be taking Letrozole in a few days and I've read some horror stories about side effects. I'd like to hear your experiences so I know what to expect.

I've just finished my second round of letrozole and didn't have any side effects at all.

I took the tablets just before bed as had read that was better as if there were any side effects they'd be while you were asleep. Not sure how true that is though.

Hi @JuniperandI @YYY-85 I'm on my first cycle using this and have had 3 days of spotting 7 8 9 dpo. Never spot usually so I presume this is a side effect.

Nothing else though.

When do you both take it, I start on cd 2.

@JuniperandI I start mine on day 2-5 so just waiting on ovulation to come this month

Thanks both. I'm taking 5 tabs tomorrow (day 3) to help stimulate my ovaries to try and help correct my low progesterone.

I’ve been on 4 cycles of letrozole, 5mg days 2-6. The first month I had a bad headache on and off, the other months nothing, so it might just have been a coincidence! I have heard the side effects are a lot less than with clomid because the drug passes out of your system more quickly. I have conceived on 2 / 4 of the cycles, after absolutely no luck naturally, so I’m a big fan :) good luck!!
