Hey everyone. Im new to ovulation testing, I had a miscarriage in June & we’ve started to try again now. I’m really concerned about my Lh levels being so low.. I’m getting a flashing smiley on CB advanced but No consistency with my LH so I’m worried 😞 any advice or someone with a similar experience? Is this completely normal or not?

Keep testing, mine are like this all month then for 1 day (2 this month) it just shot up! I was testing 3 times a day from CD12 and got my rise at 2pm then my peak at 9pm. X

Oh wow okay Thankyou! How do you go about holding/limiting fluids? I do late morning then hold for about 4/5 hours with no drinking- it’s so hard, am I doing it wrong? X

I never understood why people do that if I’m honest because I’ve never held fluids. I could have a wee at 2pm then another at 3pm and it would still show a rise?

just keep and eye out and once they start get a little darker then test a few more times after to see if you hit your peak, yours could be a gradual rise but I guess you never know till the day :)

have you had any EWCM? I also test my BBT to check for any rise during ovulation too x

This post helps a lot! Currently similar with faint lines then decided to test again tonight and I think it’s looking a bit darker? Currently CD 10 due to ovulate on CD 14 (according to BBT app)
I think I’ll test twice a day tomorrow then 3 times at the weekend and hopefully catch it! Thanks for your comments @Longtobe2023 they helped!

Really! Mine gets so diluted so I try to hold as long as possible but it’s so hard 😩
yes I’m tracking bbt too! I ovulated late after my surgery last month but I know for sure when I got pregnant I ovulated around CD 14/15/16- so I’m just wanting to track this month to find out where my ovulation is at if it will be later now or back to normal. It’s all so frustrating!

Mine are the exact same! Please keep me posted 🙏

@GeorgeR28 that last one I’ve just checked again and it’s defo darker and the darkest it’s been so hopefully I’m on the right track now!

have you tried taking one now? As in late evening? Only cause I read on another post it’s the best time to take so I thought I’d give it a shot and it’s defo darker. There’s about 4hrs between the last two tests and I’ve drank in between that.

GeorgeR28 · 19/10/2023 22:56

Yeah I’ve literally just this second done one and maybe tmi but my wee was pretty much like water so it was so diluted and my test was lighter than ever 😞 like I said I’ve got the clear blue advanced digital which is flashing smiley right now which I guess is a sign things are on the right track? Since everything I’ve been through I just have constant anxiety that something is wrong and I won’t ovulate

@GeorgeR28 the flashing smiley shows your oestrogen is raised - this typically happens a few days in advance of your LH actually going up and peaking so please don't worry if your other opks aren't there yet and you have a flashing smiley on clearblue as they're measuring different hormones! The static smiley shows when your LH is elevated and typically your LH peak will be within the 24hrs after that, and ovulation will be in the 24hrs after your LH peak (which is why the static smiley stays for 2 days once it comes up, because that whole period is LH rise/peak and then ovulation time).

GeorgeR28 · 19/10/2023 23:23

@moosey89 Hey, Thankyou for your reply! Sorry if I’m being stupid here but I take it the flashing smiley is a good sign of things to come?

@GeorgeR28 it is 😊 it means your body is preparing for the LH surge/ovulation, definitely a good thing!

GeorgeR28 · 19/10/2023 23:37

@moosey89 Thank god for that! Is there no ‘normal’ amount of days you can have a flashing for? Is it different for everyone? I probably sound like a wreck but after having a miscarriage that was quite complicated the anxiety has never gone away that I won’t go back to normal and be able to conceive again. Thanks for getting back to me I appreciate it 😌
