Hi everyone bit of a long post I was on depo for 13 years have been off it since September last year that's when it ran out. This September from 11th till 15/16th I had cramps, swollen breasts, bloating like I had for the last 4 months so I'm thinking ok body's getting back to normal. Except this time I started off with nausea some cramps extremely senstive sore boobs and just in general felt something was a miss from the 4th oct till 11th so now I'm thinking ok let's get a test just to see. Well Friday 13th oct I did a test and it was positive yey (right) but then Saturday I had brown discharge with very so slightly spots of red and very mild cramps infront and lower back ok sooo Monday 16th it's all stopped not that it was much only when I wiped so tmi so I tried a test and now it's negative. Do I expect it was chemical do I go to see my doctor do I test again later? Thanks sorry it was long I think I'm going crazy with wonder

How are you doing @G3mzy? Did you test again or decide to go to the doctor? I think if you test again & it it negative then it may be best to book a doctors appointment.

Does sound like a chemical to me, although I would expect it to have turned into a normal period. Did you had very light periods before?

G3mzy · 19/10/2023 15:00

The depo ran out September last year I have not had any periods at all only the brown last weekend which started Saturday stopped Sunday Eve nothing since

@JulyT hi I went to the doctors today done a urine test was told to keep a diary of what's going on and she mentioned I could be premenopausal would be absolutely gutted if I am being the age of 35. Said she was gonna get some bloods done but cannot do any fertility checks on nhs and pretty much what Iv been told to do just wait. Just looking online now to see if there's any supplements I can take to try and help make af appear x

@G3mzy hey, I’m sorry your doctor gave you that info. Do you have the money to go to a private clinic? I did & would highly recommend x

G3mzy · 23/10/2023 16:21

@JulyT I'd have to have a look around local to me and see where there is one and what the costs are but me and my partner definitely will be looking into it. I seen those at home ones you can do not sure they'd be any good? X

@G3mzy I’m not sure about the home kits but I would defo a recommend giving a clinic a call & having a chat with them. I had a “fertility MOT” & it really helped me x

G3mzy · 23/10/2023 16:33

@JulyT ok I'll definitely have a look into id just like some answers really x

Do you temp? That will at least give you some kind of idea what's going on and whether you ovulate. When I was TTC my first I had undiagnosed hypothyroidism for the first 10 months and so ridiculous cycles. I started taking agnus castus a little while before my dodgy thyroid was diagnosed and that seemed to bring on ovulation and end my silly 146 day cycle.
