MAP during ovulation

Has anyone taken the MAP during ovulation? I recently took Ella one less than 12 hours after a condom split on the day my app said I was ovulating. I don't track ovulation and I know these aren't always exact. My previous experience with MAP was that my AF was over a week late.
The past 5 days I have had the most painful swollen breasts ever. Not like my occasional ache I would get before my AF either. These feel hot and sore all the time not just when touched. And the swelling is so bad I have 3 stretch marks.
Could this be a side effect from the MAP? I tested on what I thought was 9 dpo (yesterday) and stark white. I only have one test left so was trying to hold off a few more days but this pain has me worried. I am also very tired and have occasional waves of nausea nothing major. So difficult to tell if this is pms symptoms or possible pregnancy.

If I can hold off til Friday which is the day before AF is due surely the result will be definite? I have a clear blue early detection test

MAP is to delay ovulation, so no they are pretty useless if your body is already ovulating at the time. If your app said you was ovulating and you still DTD knowing the chances of not being on contraception and knowing condoms can split then that’s a risk you take I guess….

Thanks for replying. I wasnt aware at the time I was ovulating, I don't check my app daily. We have never had an issue with condoms before and I am not able to take any other form of birth control unfortunately. Even the MAP has had pretty bad side effects which I am still dealing with now. I just hadn't experienced this level of breast swelling and pain before which had me panicking.
I tested today which would be 11 dpo and got bfn so I'm more confident that the MAP has worked

I'd say the breast swelling is more likely an effect of the MAP rather than a pregnancy symptom, considering you're so early on. Accidents happen and I certainly didn't know off the top of my head what date I was ovulating before TTC, it's totally understandable. I hope you get the result you want x

Thank you.
Yeh I feel more confident now that it is just a side effect of MAP since I got a bfn this morning. From past experience it caused a delay in my period so I'll wait it out another week or so before I would reconsider retesting. I normally would have gotten my bfp in the past fairly early around 9 dpo.
