I haven't had a period since July 2023, it lasted 2 days and was quite light.

Since then I've had no periods and not even a hint of one, I tested mid August so about 12 days after my period and it was stark white negative. Had a bit of random spotting for about 5 days, like the tiniest amount when wiping. I went to the doctor start of September and explained my situation and he said if you haven't got a period in 6 weeks, let us know, we will look into it.

For the past 6 weeks or so I've been having on and off cramps in my pelvis area too, not painful as such but they come in waves and can be uncomfortable more than anything. The odd one or two have been quite sharp and painful!! 😭 Also been having a lot of migraines and feeling moody. I did take a test not long ago and again negative so definitely not pregnant.

I then contacted the doctor last week as im thinking PCOS and explained this, however a different one responded (over ask my gp) and said they don't investigate periods until its been at least 6 months, they will just correct themselves and have I thought about taking a pregnancy test

Where do I go from here?

Have you recently come off the pill?

And are you actively TTC? I'd maybe consider starting to track ovulation even if no period - could buy cheap strips on Amazon to start with just to see what's going on?

@anon1411 sorry to hear that you’re going through this- sounds like such a nightmare!
But I wonder if there is a chance you could be pregnant, my sister who was on the conceptive injection, didn’t have periods because of this, as well havjng several pregnancy tests (2 urine ones at the doctors) which you need to take before getting the injection and all came back negative. She was also getting potential endo investigated and went for a scan, where they found she was several weeks pregnant. It’s safe to say it was a pretty huge shock and when she questioned why the tests didn’t pick it up, they didn’t really have an answer.
I understand that it’s a pretty rare situation it perhaps a blood test could confirm and definitely rule out pregnancy.

But personally I would track potential ovulation everyday until you have some form of answer- good luck with everything and I hope you get it sorted. X
