BBT chart confusion.

Hi everyone. Should be worried my temp isn't really shifting after ovulation day? Currently 2DPO and it hasn't done much 😓

Hi there, I've been charting for nearly 4 years and for me it's normal to take a few days for BBT to increase a significant amount after ovulation. Mine sometimes slowly increases over a few days, other months it shoots up straight away so don't think it's a massive cause for concern 😊 Hope that helps to put your mind at ease!

It's also worth noting that studies have shown BBT can be a fairly unreliable way of detecting ovulation, which would make sense given the above! 😊

I’m also 2DPO and mine is very very slowly increasing, not by much either. Also I didn’t get much of a rise to confirm ovulation but I’ve had the EWCM and left ovary pain, the peak on strips so I’m keeping hopeful!

Thank you 😊 I shall see what happens in the morning. Last night there was a significant temp drop in my home compared to recent nights. And my partner was away for one night so without his body heat and me not getting a great night sleep I wonder if that didn't help?

I'm sure I ovulated due to the pain I experienced also. About 12 hours after my peek, felt like trapped wind and a knife twisting in my uterus it was awful. Also DTD was very obviously different compared to other times due to EWCM increasing 😅 I worry there might be a problem with progesterone if my temp doesn't increase

@pinkmarshmalloww try giving your drs a ring and see if they will give you a 21 day progesterone test, that’s what I’ve done and got mine booked in for this Friday? It will put your mind at ease too :)

I'm going to order a progesterone test online from medichecks if my temp doesn't budge. 🤞
