Faint Positive

Hi, sorry if I don't know the correct abbreviations, it's my first time posting here and looking for some clarity hopefully.

Me and my partner are trying to conceive, I stopped taking the mini pill about 5 weeks ago and I'm still yet to have a period.

I have had extremely painfull breasts for over a week now and severe cramping. Done a cheap test today with first morning wee and got a clear albeit faint positive.

Done a couple more a few hours later and had one positive and two negative so i'm very confused right now

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

a false positive is very rare. Whereas a false negative can happen if you have overly diluted urine (plus hcg levels anre lower later in the day) and you are in v early stages of pregnancy. So i believe I’m right I saying… congratulations!

It could be that your urine was more diluted in the afternoon. Do you know when you ovulated/how many days past ovulation you are? Could be that it's just early as well. Digital tests aren't as sensitive so would probably show negative until after your missed period. Fingers crossed this all goes well for you! X

im on the same boat, roughly 10 days post ovulation. Had a faint line this morning and a negative this afternoon.

Try testing again with first morning urine if you can.

Has anyone had what looks like 2 faint lines come up? This was after 3 mins of doing the test. I checked 1 min after the test and I could see the lines and then they got slightly darker when i looked 2 mins later, really confused just wondered if anyone else had seen this before
