Help with OPK/temp chart please!

Hello everyone, I’m first month TTC after a complicated MMC - have been ovulating already for several months, but this first month actually TTC has thrown me as LH testing peaked at CD16 (2 days later than my usual) and BBT only rose CD20. What do you make of this chart? Is PreMom right I ovulated CD17 or would you think later given BBT? Any chance we DTD at the right time?! Trying to work out whether to have any hope for the next week!

You have a pre ovulation dip on day 17 and then have ovulation rise on day 20. So i would suggest you ovulated on day 18 or 19 as some people have quick rise in temp and others slower.

The LH surge indicates your body getting ready to ovulate but it can be 48h+ onwards - and thats why they suggest covering all ground.

BBT confirms ovulation when you have 3 consecutive higher temps so that looks right to me!

you peaked on cd16 and ovulation happens 24-36hrs after your surge and given your temp increase I’d say your app looks about right 17-18 is what I’d think you ovulated at.

I would have DTD the day after surge too to fully cover but you do have good chances.

Thank you both very much, that’s helpful. I’d been thinking of ov as later the same day (12 hours) so it’s useful to know it can be quite a bit later. It wasn’t a great week for us with lots on so I’m glad we managed DTD when we did, though I think we tried too soon anticipating a usual CD15 ov date and were caught out. We’ll see if anny decent swimmers survived from CD16. Otherwise I’ll know for next time. It’s just so un-sexy saying “I got a LH peak…”!

I tell mine nothing and move on with it, but towards the end of fertile week he catches on. He’d rather not be pressured just yet since we haven’t been trying for that long
