First late period but negative

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting. I’ve not been on any contraception for about 6 months, I haven’t been tracking my periods/ovulation but myself and my partner agreed if it happened it happened! Up until now my periods have been like clockwork every 25-27 days and they been my whole life pretty much!
However, I am now 3 days late with no sign of my period making an appearance. I always get period cramps a day or two before I’m due on. I have had some symptoms too, headaches, bloating, nausea, dizziness, tiredness and the most unusual is insomnia. I wake up at 2am and can not get back to sleep I’ve never had this before!
I’ve done 3 tests and all negative - 2 were clear blue and one cheap one.
I know it’s unlikely I am pregnant now, or is it? Could there be something else going on? Or should I try and get a blood test done?
I am having “cramps” as I type this but they feel different to normal period cramps, kind of between period cramps and wind 😂

Any advice or similar stories would be appreciated 😊

I only got my first positive tests this morning at 14 dpo, day 29 of my cycle when my period was due. But a lot of tests I did this morning were negative.

I got a clear YES+ from First Response after getting a few negatives from Easy@Home tests, I also got a negative from a digital Clear Blue test, so if you haven't tried First Response I'd give it a go!

I also got positives with the line tests from Clear Blue when I went out to grab more to check

Thank you and congratulations 💕
I haven’t done a morning test yet so will try first thing 🤞🏼I am wondering if I ovulated late…..I don’t track unfortunately so don’t know.

Could well be that you ovulated later than you thought. Also, have you started any new vitamins or supplements? I've heard a few people say that has lengthened their cycle? Anyway, hopefully things are looking good! Good luck! 🥰

Hi, no I haven’t done anything different at all and no vitamins or anything. I haven’t really thought about how badly I want a baby as we haven’t been officially trying and never had a late period or need to do a test. Now it’s happened and I got a bfn it’s made me realise how much I want it 😢❤️

Unfortunately this can happen when you are ttc. I have a regular as clockwork 28 day cycle. On three separate occasions in the past 5yrs when ttc I have had a weird cycle. Once was 45 days! Didn’t do anything different, the doctor said that can happen sometimes, it’s very frustrating though!!

Thank you, it’s reassuring to know it’s happened to others and it’s not necessarily something bad.
I must be randomly late for AF - would this mean I ovulated later do you think? I really need to do some research I’ve never really tracked ovulation other than what the Flo app tells me!
