Hello,

im just looking for some buddies to help me get through this two week wait and I suppose ultimately this whole TTC journey. I’m 30 years old trying for our first baby after getting married this summer. Last month was our first attempt but I honestly didn’t have a clue what I was doing and totally missed our window, but at that point I hadn’t even had a period yet since coming off of the Mirina coil. I have now had a period and this is my first proper cycle. I believe I am now 9DPO and it’s taking all of my will power not to test! Anyone in the same boat? I’ll add my chart for you as well. I just need someone to talk to about this because DH bless him try’s but really doesn’t get it 😆

Hi! I'm only 6dpo but I'm obsessed with these forums and following everyone's journeys lol. Your chart looks really good! Although I've only attempted BBT for one cycle when ttc my first because I kept forgetting and got stressed so I just use OPKs now. I'm 33 and ttc baby no2, my son is now 14 months (12 corrected as he was 2 months premature).

I plan on testing on Sunday when I'll be 11dpo, when do you think you will test?

LouACT · 10/10/2023 21:24

This is my first attempt at charting, well I dabbled last month but got so stressed with it that I stopped half way through the month for my sanity. This month I made a bargain with myself that I would only take my temp on days I had to wake up and on my days off I wouldn’t stress about missing a few. Most of the time I find myself awake anyway but it took the pressure off. I’m honestly so surprised that my chart is easy to read, I was expecting it to be a mess. I was planning on testing 10DPO which would be tomorrow but I’m so nervous I don’t know if I can. I feel like I want to hold out until 12DPO which will be Friday. I have everything crossed for you! I’m obsessed with these too but I was finding it hard to find a current one.

Hi! I'm 7 dpo....my husband looked at me yesterday and said to me yesterday 'I think you need to test' because apparently he can sense that I'm pregnant 😂 Anyway I bought a load of tests but still feeling it's too early, I had a chemical a couple of months ago so i know even a positive now is no guarantee of anything. Fingers crossed for you!

Winnipeggy · 10/10/2023 21:33

Im 39 and trying for no.2 by the way, have a DD who is 19 months. Not at all sure I'm ready for 2 but feel like time isn't on my side so we decided to bite the bullet!

LouACT · 10/10/2023 21:44

@Winnipeggy my husband is treating me like I’m pregnant already, referring to our baby like it’s already on the way 😆 he seems to think he knows something that I don’t. I’m not sure who will be more disappointed if I’m not pregnant this month. I don’t know if it ever feels like the perfect timing. I want to be pregnant so bad but every time I think too hard I get nervous and question if we’re ready. From what family have told me that’s quite a normal feeling and I guess that doesn’t change if it’s your first or second or third.

Haha that's so funny re your DH! It's such a wild ride, I'm trying not to get hopes up too much. I think you can never truly be ready so defo just have to jump in. Our daughter has enriched our lives a million percent so any hardship is always worth it, I'm sure you'll find the same ❤️ maybe I'll test with you!

LouACT · 10/10/2023 21:53

it feels so nice going through this journey with other people. I think it can be very lonely as a woman, obsessing over every little sign

Definitely, keeping everything crossed for you x

LouACT · 11/10/2023 20:19

Has anyone been having an exciting symptoms? I am disappointingly light on any symptoms at all except for sore boobs but I had that last month as well 🤔

OP posts:
Catson · 11/10/2023 20:32

Hello, I thought I'd join too. I am symptom spotting but to be honest not really finding anything of note. I'm going to hold off testing as long as possible I think

LouACT · 11/10/2023 20:52

I’ve been making notes in my phone and all I had to report today was an itch on the left side of my tummy and a subtle stabbing pain in my right boob that lasted all of 2 seconds 😆🤦🏻‍♀️ @Catson do you know how many DPO you are?

OP posts:
Catson · 11/10/2023 20:57

@LouACT I think I'm 7dpo. Give or take a day. As I don't know exactly when I ovulated I will try and wait and test if and when AF is late

ReginaPhalange12 · 11/10/2023 23:00

Hi 👋🏼 8DPO & trying for baby number 2. I've not really had any symptoms this month, a little stabbing pain a couple of days ago & a little cramping this evening. I was lucky enough to conceive my first baby on my first cycle but currently on number 4 and nothing so far. Sending baby dust to all ✨

LouACT · 12/10/2023 22:25

So this evening I decided on a whim to take an OPK. My wee was super diluted and I just dont really know why I decided to do one at all (maybe I was just really desperate to wee on something and an OPK seemed the less scary). I was really surprised to find that although it was negative it was a high negative! In fact it was twice my usual baseline and the only time it’s been that high is the night before I got my peak. I read that you can get a Lh surge before your period so I checked last month which I tested everyday leading up to my period (because that was before my periods had returned post coil removal and I didn’t have a clue where I was in my cycle) and it was no where near that level. Trying not to read into it too much but thought I would share. Other than that I really feel like I’m not pregnant this month, just a gut feeling but tomorrow morning we will see when I test!

OP posts:
Winnipeggy · 12/10/2023 22:33

Hi OP, when are you actually due? I tested this morning and it was negative but I'm not due until Tuesday so wasn't really expecting anything. Had noticeably sore boobs yesterday. Have had a headache most nights but that could be anything! Let us know how the test goes but remember it's still really early! X

LouACT · 12/10/2023 22:38

@Winnipeggy i think AF is due on Sunday but I’ve only had one period since coming off of my latest coil. I’ve had two so it’s been nearly 10 years since I’ve had periods and even before I was on the mini pill. I honestly have no idea how long my cycles are but if we are going with around 14 days after ovulation then that makes it Sunday.

OP posts:
LouACT · 12/10/2023 22:39

I’m going to try not to be discouraged if it’s negative in the morning and wait a couple of days and try again. Like you said, we’re still really early

OP posts:
Winnipeggy · 12/10/2023 22:40

I think it's quite common to test negative even a few days after AF is due so just saying don't lose hope even if there's no line tomorrow! Fingers crossed though

LouACT · 13/10/2023 08:09

Sending baby dust to you too! ✨ let me know how you get on x

Winnipeggy · 13/10/2023 14:29

Ah amazing! Biggest congratulations, so happy for you x

HRHXO · 13/10/2023 17:10

@LouACT omg congrats! When I was pregnant with my first I was tracking ovulation every single day as I didn't think I was ovulating and when I got a strong OPK near when AF was due I had a funny feeling so did a HCG test and was pregnant! Such amazing news! X

ReginaPhalange12 · 13/10/2023 23:17

Congratulations @LouACT a nice strong positive & always nice to see it on a digital ✨

PB86 · 17/10/2023 20:44

Currently on cycle 37 of trying to conceive my first baby and according to my app I’m currently 5DPO. I am 100% an early tester but I’m going to really try and wait until my period is late this cycle and just keep everything crossed that it’s our month 🤞🏻 good luck to everyone in the same boat!
