Ovulation CD31- is something wrong?

Been tracking Lh levels all month and it looks like my body tried to ovulate on CD 21 but didn’t - there was a small increase but went back down. It’s now CD31 and I have EWCM and a positive Lh test

My cycles are really irregular, 30 days, 32 days, 50 days, 36 days and 38 days and now this. I’ve only been tracking Lh for 2 cycles and last cycle my Lh spike was CD23

is there something wrong with me?

How often are you testing a day?
Once I see an increase I up'd to two or even three times a day.

@Sunshineclouds11 i test twice a day and after I had the CD21 it dropped right down to the line been barely visible so stopped testing. Retested last night when I noticed EWCM and I am back to resting twice a day now

Hi @glasshalffull0 - I don’t know if this helps but the same happened to me last cycle, I also have irregular periods ranging from 30 - 43 days, thought I’d ov’d on cd24 but a week later had lots of ewcm and I have a super short lp of 9 days so when af came I knew I’d ov’d around cd 34 instead. It was incredibly frustrating as I was away from dh so couldn’t do anything about it - felt like a wasted month.

Seems like I’m due to ovulate today/tomorrow at cd24, as I’ve had peak lh for a few days now. So in answer to your question, I don’t know if anything is wrong (it’s obviously not ideal), but you are not alone x

@ll1988 thank you for replying. It’s nice to know you’re not in it alone- not that it makes it any less frustrating! Are you TTC your first baby too?

I’ve read online it can be a sign of PCOS and can make the uterus inhospitable for an egg, unsure whether to go to the doctors yet or not. We’ve been trying for 4 cycles

Have you recently come off the pill? I had really long and irregular cycles for about a year, they gradually got more consistent.

It’s a lonely old place ttc sometimes. I certainly wouldn’t lose hope after 4 cycles though, as frustrating as it is. Hopefully next month (if you even have a next cycle fingers crossed not!) it will be back to normal. Our bodies defo like to trick us more than ever when ttc and do things they didn’t before - or maybe we just didn’t notice as we weren’t looking for it.

No not our first, we are lucky enough to have a little one who turns 2 next week. But it did take 15 cycles to get him, and we’ve been trying for 5 for this one already, I had secretly hoped this one would be faster but can’t help feeling it will be a marathon again
