Does anyone who has irregular cycles continiously ever get really fed up? Mine are anything from 45-80 days. We are really wanting baby #2. However we just can't deal with the whole actual 'trying' process.. the ovulation tests, timed sex etc. we try to DTD at least 2-3 times a week most the months. Each month when it gets past a certain time I just can't be bothered to DTD and just pray we done enough/caught it at the right time. I just want to have regular 28-30 day cycles again😭 its stressing me out. I also need to lose about 3-4 stone. But i just can't get the motivation to do it. I'm exercising around 2 days a week. My exercise bike 45mins/hour long walks. I'm not even sure I ovulate. I do get the EWCM, which we try DTD around that time also. Im sick and tired of buying pregnancy tests😫

Has anyone got any tips on how they got their irregular cycles back to somewhat regular? Pleasee? 🙏😔

I have cycles 33-40 days some went to 53 days actually had PCOS confirmed with a scan this is my 2nd cycle trying for baby 1 at 36 I also need to lose 4/5 stone but no motivation have you asked for blood tests and scan or something to help regulate your cycle. Mine have settled to 40days the last 3 cycles

I had a scan done; PCOS in the one ovary? Bloods all ok apparently. Apart from infection bloods risen which doctor unsure why.? I've more bloods to be done next week. I also have very bad joint/leg pain. So having investigations done. I just wish my cycles would regulate themselves. They have went all over the place since having DD 2.5years ago😭 thyroid all fine too apparently. At a loss :( Fingers crossed for you on your 2nd cycle🤞❤️🤞 Took a full year to conceive DD & that was with regular cycles. The stress def gets to you sometimes😔

I’d recommend using Natural Cycles (or similar). Annual payment but it can help you get to know your cycle, identify if and when you’re ovulating etc. We used it to help conceive DD. Good luck!

When we were TTC our first my cycles were all over the place and so long like 63 days 54 days etc and this was unusual for me so I kept thinking I was pregnant it was so frustrating! I was trying to track ovulation but I never really got a positive OPK my readings on premom were always like 0.68 when I see others get 1.45 etc so I wasn't sure if I was ovulating or just ovulating super late. I got consumed with TTC and tracking and DTD became so regimented it wasn't fun anymore. On cycle 10 I started taking Conceive Plus Ovulation Support supplements from Amazon after hearing good things and we also relaxed with forcing ourselves to BD every other day. That was the month I finally got my BFP!

I can't say for sure if the supplements helped regulate my cycles but I'm now TTC no2 and I'm definitely taking them again!

I've gone on a health kick because that's what helps my cycles regulate best. still long cycles but consistent and I ovulate more regularly. I've stopped concentrating on the ttc and more on my health. It's hard to find motivation sometimes I get it but sorting myself out health wise is a lot less stressful than all the opks tracking ect and wondering what length cycle I'm getting next. It took me five years for my first until I got into being healthy and he came along. Xx

Thanks everyone for your replies. I started with abit of spotting last Thursday.. then nothing.. until today. However its not actual looking period blood.. its like discharge. Nearly like EWCM but bright red Has this ever happened to anyone? My cycles honestly take over my life at the minute. 😫

@Toomanymoons this happened to me not this cycle but last, started spotting mid cycle never have done before was like what u said on off right up until af was due then I had af which was not the norm. This cycle I was ten days early never had that before if anything it goes late. So I totally get cycles taking over your life! I'm being transferred to a hormone specialist because I went to gp for bloods coz they was driving me mad!! Xx

Toomanymoons · 10/10/2023 14:42

@Jadeypie it is so frustrating when they take over your head. Being a woman is hardwork lol My spotting/bleeding isn't mid cycle; it first started CD 37 and then actual flow started CD 40 (which is actually the earliest I've had a cycle in nearly 2 years). They are just all over the show: Just today I have had alot and it smells so strong of blood (obviously lol but you no like really strong metallic/iron). So there's def something strange going on. Ive had bloods done numerous times. They all come back 'ok'. My GP surgery doesn't give the numbers out. You just get told if they are ok or more needs done. I hope you get yours sorted out with the specialist🤞 might be something i'll need referred to aswell, who knows🥴

I have PCOS and cycles that ranged from 60-80days. DD1 was conceived using ovulation induction meds (letrozole) but for DC2 (pregnant now) we conceived naturally by using metformin + low carb/low sugar diet (i basically did a v low carb diet and lost 10% of my body weight), which got my cycles back to around 35-40days. The month we were successful, i ovulated on day 29.

I've also heard other PCOS sufferers have some successful with inositol supplements. Good luck.
