Can I get pregnant this soon after a miscarriage?

Hi Ladies
Just wanted some advice, I had a complete miscarriage 5 weeks ago at 6 weeks and I am waiting for my period to arrive, how long does this normally take? We have only bd 2x in the last month,is it possible I could be pregnant again? I also had a missed m/c in 2006 before having my daughter in 2007, are the chances higher of miscarrying when I fall pregnant again?Thank you.

This happened to my sister and she fell pregnant in her next cycle.

The only thing to keep in mind is it can take a while for your periods to settle down after a miscarriage.

Yes, you can be pg again, and no, the chances of another mc are not generally higher. I got pg in the first cycle after a mc and sadly mc again, but the mcs were definitely unrelated to each other.

I got pg with DS without having a period after a mc. It can take ages for your periods to settle down though.

I miscarried almost 7 weeks ago and still no period; they say the average is 5-7 weeks but for some people it takes longer. A friend of mine conceived 3 weeks after a mc and had a perfectly normal pregnancy and healthy baby.

I had a mc at 9 weeks last summer. I got pg again without having a period (ie next cycle). 2 dating scans confirmed I conceived 6 days after the mc.... . I'm now 32 weeks today, so good luck! x

I had 3 m/cs, the last being 17th Feb 2007, I now have a DS aged 14 weeks who was conceived 2.5 weeks after the m/c!
