To test or not to test

I am currently 12DPO and AF is due in around 2 days.

I have felt so unwell since 8DPO - I initially thought it was a bug but it isn’t shifting.

I don’t have any tests in the house, so would need to get some, but the not knowing is eating me up inside.

If it is just a bug, then I can move forward. But I also think seeing another BFN might just finish me off, so maybe I should wait for the inevitable of AF showing its face.

what would you do?

I'd wait myself, for two reasons, if you aren't you save the money on a test, if you are but loose in the next 72 hours you won't have known (there's nothing you can do if it's not viable). We are only discovering now just how high the percentage of non viable conceptions there are due to early testing what wasn't available a generation ago

I always advocate waiting.

My positive test only showed on the day my period was due. Before that is was completely white.

I don't know why people test early when it's more likely to be a negative and put themselves through the pain early.

Look after yourself and don't put yourself under the stress of testing :)

Thank you @gotomomo and @hotcandle it’s what I needed to hear.

i’m 99% certain I’ve just had a horrible bug, but it’s just typical it came right at the time that I drive myself crazy.

I will wait, I won’t waste my money. Xx

Definitely wait until a missed period if you can. While some women get early positives, not all do, so a test today would absolutely not be conclusive.

I didn't get even a v v faint positive until 13dpo (day after af due).

So even if you get a negative, you probably won't stop thinking it's possible until AF arrives anyway.

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess thank you.

I am going to take all of your advice and wait.

i won’t be able to get my hand on any tests now anyway ☺️

my thighs have started to really ache tonight so I’m sure AF is on the way.
