Two women who were pregnant at the same time as me have emailed me in the last week to inform me that they are now ttc again & have had their coil/implant removed.

???WTF??? Why would I be interested in that? Is it just me or is it odd?

And they'll both be pregnant withing in the next couple of months ... I'd bet the house on it (I'm on cycle 9)

Grumble.

shit innit, one of my mates has actually had a babies and is about to drop another one in the time i've been dreaming about another one.

GRUMBLE GRUMBLE !

Minster - that is tough and no, I can't see why they would think you or anybody other than their dh/p and possibly their mum needs to know!

Hulababy · 05/03/2008 20:43

Unless you are good friends with them I'd think it odd to be told in a email about their decision to start TTC. If anything it would be something that might come up in a conversation, but not just a stark email surely.

I know how you feel re the lapped think. I have had this for past 3.5y of TTC for #2. I knw have more than one friend who have managed to have two babies each in that time! Never seems fair.

Try ttc #1 and being lapped by couples who have married, started ttc and got pg in the time you've been ttc. I can name 5 couples I know who've done this in the time time we've been ttc #1 including one couple who have actually had the baby

Hulababy · 05/03/2008 21:01

It can be a tough time. I had similar when TTC #1 too; that also took a long time although no as long as his time is taking.

Lapped - such a good word for it. Sheer brilliance! Has made me very happy tonight, even though I too am being lapped by what feels like my entire NCT group, all my friends and all my friend's friends too

fishie · 05/03/2008 21:31

i started in 2003. have managed to produce one 2yo hooray. but generally have been lapped so many times am glad nobody sponsored me. hare and tortoise just doesn't work here.

nomoremagnolia · 05/03/2008 21:35

you're right fishie - there's no logic/ rules to ttc at all

and ds will be at school if a mythical sibling arrives. so we won't have to live on boiled grass

There are six years between my two - there are actually people who've had three babies in that time. The mind boggles at their fecundity!

Anyway it sucks 'nuff said.

Yeah but minster - the people with three babies in six years are knackered - and they are going to find the university years cripplingly expensive! Cold comfort I know.
