Cervical mucus changes in 2WW

I’ve read mostly online that it’s not a reliable indicator until implantation, but one site said this “You may experience a lot of milky or pale yellow vaginal discharge during early pregnancy. Once sperm and egg meet, the volume of discharge can increase as your vagina tries to get rid of bacteria that might be harmful to the new pregnancy.”

Has anyone else had CM changes shortly after ovulation? I’d only be 4DPO so too early for implantation but in theory egg and sperm could have met?

I’ve had a couple of days of what I can only really describe as abundant snotty 😂 cloudy/light yellow CM, and I’m sure I’m usually mostly dry after ovulation.

@Muddysocks1 CM changes have consistently been my most reliable indicator of pregnancy in the tww (conceived 3 times, sadly miscarried 2). All three I have had a noticeable increase in CM which started as more watery and more of it in first week, and then significant creamy CM (enough to be noticeable on my knickers) from around 8dpo.... good luck!!

(Aah the things we talk about on here... 😂😂)

@SnookyPook oh interesting!! 😂 and haha yes - all inhibitions gone! I’d have posted a photo if it was socially acceptable 😂

I’m 4dpo. I have exactly the same symptoms of a lot of milky white discharge. I was just looking it was a thing or not and then saw your post!

@Muddysocks1 omg I could've written this myself!! Literally 4/5dpo I had (TMI) snotty, slightly EWCM literally all day, made me feel like AF was arriving it was so much 😅 be interesting to see what happens with us! I'm either 6/7dpo now and determined to hold off testing. Good luck lovely xx

Muddysocks1 · 29/09/2023 22:24

Ooh perhaps it is a thing then!

I’m 7dpo and it definitely seemed creamy but less volume now, and not much noticeable today, so perhaps it was just drying up still after ovulation

When I was last pregnant my most annoying symptom for the whole of pregnancy was soooo much watery CM so I think it could be an indicator! I'm due to ovulate today or tomorrow I think so I've been trying to keep track of mine but I find it hard to distinguish the different types sometimes!

Kp1345 · 03/10/2023 18:30

@Muddysocks1 That’s similar to me as well! 8dpo today. When are you going to test?

Muddysocks1 · 04/10/2023 07:35

@Kp1345 i tested yesterday and it was negative, think I’ll wait out until missed period now which is at the weekend 😬 have you?

@Muddysocks1 ah it’s such a temptation isn’t it. I haven’t tested yet but my period was due today as my cycles are usually short (23 days last minth) as I’m only day 27 of my cycle today. I think I’m going to try and hold out till Friday as period may come tomorrow but I might crack and do one tomorrow morning 🤣 please keep me updated! Xx

We’re either of you ladies pregnant?

Kp1345 · 22/10/2023 10:35

Nope! But my cycle went from 23 days to 30 so I had a good 7 days convinced I was! Very bizarre!

Muddysocks1 · 22/10/2023 17:03

Nope I wasn’t! X
