Suddenly struggling to conceive

Has anyone else had a similar story?
I have 4 children. All conceived no problems within 1-2 months.
I've had 3 losses. Also conceived 1-2 months
I have a regular 32 day cycle although this has changed from 28 days since having my baby 1 year ago.
Normal 5-6 day period not too heavy and not too light. I track ovulation with easy@home and always ovulate around CD17-18 lots of BD.
Been TTC 6 months with no luck at all.
I know it can take time but this is unusual for me.
I have 1 Fallopian tube I should mention but that's still never stopped me.
Anyone been through similar and what was the outcome?

I’m currently in a similar situation and came on to post the same thing…
We’re trying for a third, currently on the fifth cycle of trying and still no luck, the first two happened the first month we decided to try (although that was 10 and 6 years ago now, I’m 31 now)
My cycle has gone from 28/29 days to 25 over the last few months, so not sure if that has anything to do with it. I’ve always tracked my periods and ovulation on the Clue app and gone off CM changes/ovulation pains but I think I took it for granted how easy the first two happened and expected the same luck this time around!

I feel guilty posting because I know there's so many woman out there struggling for their first and my heart breaks for them it really does 🥺❤️ and with having 4 already I worry some people may judge and comment. But it's also heartbreaking worrying you could've had your last baby and didn't realise at the time 💔 I'm 30 years old and I'm not completely sure what next steps to take or just wait it out until the year mark😕 x

Unfortunately as you get older it does get a bit harder but at 30 you're still on the younger side. If you can afford it it might be worth getting a fertility MOT done. lots of people do them. just put your mind at rest.

Maybebaby54321 · 27/09/2023 11:09

I'm 35 years old and we are ttc number 5!!!!
Like you, our 4 girls were concieved so quickly without so much as an opk.
I've been struggling with a hormone imbalance since our 4th was born which took 2 years to diagnose as I kept being told the issues I had were from the c section.
We've been trying for 6 cycles without a sniff of a positive pregnancy test and I'm so thrown.

I have been looking into a private HSG as I've had an Ectopic pregnancy rupture before in the past. So I'm worried possible damage causing that Ectopic could be happening in my remaining tube.
I'm just slightly nervous about the procedure itself which is holding me back 😮‍💨

Did you have regular cycles with a hormone imbalance?
It's thrown me also. And I suffer quite a lot with medical anxiety so I'm overthinking every possible problem and thinking the worst x

Yup.. 1st pregnancy was a surprise I even took the morning after pill (sadly ended in miscarriage at 14 week) but feel pregnant again month later with DD who is nearly 5, currently struggling with infertility for 2 years never had a bfp in 2 years!! Tried lots of fertility meds tracking ovulation hubby's sperm is good, just unexplained ;(

Maybebaby54321 · 27/09/2023 11:26

@pinkmarshmalloww
They were still classed as regular by my gp even tho I kept insisting they weren't regular for me.
Before my 4th baby, my cycles were every 28 days without fail. Even after having babies they jumped right back to normal. They were a medium flow and 5 days long. Literally text book.
Since my 4th they're between 25 and 31 days and contain lots of clots and are really heavy. Even tho its not normal for me, I was told it was more than likely from scarring after my first c section and it would settle down.
I had other pms symptoms I've never had before and I knew he was wrong so eventually I paid for a private blood tests and was diagnosed with an estrogen dominance. I thought because I had the diagnosis and had seen a huge improvement in symptoms, that I would again conceive easily, but 6 cycles in and that's just not the case at all.

Yep me 🙋‍♀️ 3 kids and 3 MC all conceived within first couple of months. Got with now DP and fell pregnant by accident within a few months, had my fourth MMC, decided to try properly and…absolutely nothing. However I was also having lots of issues after my last MC which I’d never had before (loads of pain and cramping throughout my cycle - the others were all D&Cs but this one was medical management) and I was and am convinced that it messed something up somewhere or I had a low level infection or something that was preventing me conceiving. After over a year of trying, out of desperation I used one of those fertility lube things, still didn’t get pregnant but it gave me a horrible UTI so ended up on antibiotics and I’m sure they coincidentally cleared up whatever was going on because I then got a BFP the very next cycle. Took 15 months in the end and I was saying all along that something wasn’t right after the last MC 🤷‍♀️ but am nearly 15 weeks now and all going fine - so worth the wait!

ChickaboomZoom · 27/09/2023 12:14

Similar situation here except I’m 40 now. Have 4 kiddos and am trying for a 5th. (My 3 eldest are teens from my first marriage and my 4th is 4 years old and with my new hubby)
I’ve had 3 losses since April this year. All before 6.5wks. Seemingly I can get pregnant but they won’t stick…. My cycles have also gone from 28 to 25/26 days. Have had some blood tests that only showed anaemia and low vitamin D which I’ve taken a course of high dose supplements for. This month we really made an effort and I charted my BBT for the first time in ages - hideous chart with temps dipping all over! I’m 9DPO and tested today because I’m a lunatic and of course BFN…
It sucks and I’m out of time because the age gap between my youngest and another baby is just going to be much bigger than we wanted… plan to try until end of this year and then hubby will go for the snip 🥺

pinkmarshmalloww · 27/09/2023 12:38

Sorry to hear about everyone's losses 🥺
There's 101 things that could be contributing to the struggle and finding out what seems like an impossible task and often a fob off by doctors. I've just messaged my doctors saying I'm getting cramping all cycle long which I do. Painful ovulation, painful periods and cramping every other day in between that makes me feel like a period is coming. And I'm extremely frustrated that after 1 year and 8 months I've still not received a pathology report from my Ectopic tube removal. I believe this could hold evidence of a possible condition I could have in my remaining tube and it's just "missing" and no1 can seem to find it. I was told it would be posted to me over a year ago and there's a "backlog"

@pinkmarshmalloww that's exactly it. It could be 101 things so to identify the issue seems like an impossible task, especially when you're be proactive but medical people aren't. It's almost like there's a feeling of, you already have 4 what are you complaining about

I just had a surprising call from my GP. I don't know if it'll help anyone else here but I tried a different approach with them. Instead of sending a message stating I was having difficulty conceiving I sent them a message saying I'm suffering period pain almost daily throughout my cycle (which is the truth) and I said I'm worried about fibroids/cysts/Endo. So she's referred me for a pelvic scan of ovaries, tube and uterus and asked me to come in for a cervical check and swab. 🙀 and told me if the scans are fine and I still gets pains she'll refer to a gynecologist. I'm completely shocked they haven't palmed me off with "that's normal"

@pinkmarshmalloww That's amazing news!!! I'm delighted for you!!!! Maybe that's where I've been going wrong and shouldn't even mention babies and ttc!!!! I'm 6dpo currently but if this cycle isn't successful I'll be doing the same thing to see how I get on!!!

@pinkmarshmalloww I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope AF doesn't show and you get your bfp tomorrow! I never had close to a strong line until a few days after a missed period. Which makes me so annoyed at myself that I still test early every month. I just camt help it!!!!

@pinkmarshmalloww I'm desperately resisting the urge to test tomorrow at 7dpo 😂😂

SillySausagez · 27/09/2023 18:47

Once you get to 12 months TTC request a day 21 progesterone test

SillySausagez · 27/09/2023 18:48

I had regular periods but needed a drug called clomid to mature my eggs a little

Ivebeenthinkingtoomuch · 27/09/2023 18:51

Kind of in the same boat here but we’re only on our second cycle 🤦🏼‍♀️
I’ve got pregnant 3 times and have two kids aged 15 and 12. Two were conceived on the pill and one was a got carried away night that resulted in my son. My new partner and I are now on cycle 2, I’m 8dpo but feel fairly sure this isn’t our month, obviously tests are negative but I just don’t feel it at all.
I stupidly really thought it would happen straight away despite being 36 and pretty overweight!! It’s so disheartening

jvandussen · 01/10/2023 00:17

Please don't feel stressed or rushed.

Send positive love to the womb while trying.

Vibrations are more important than penetrations

Maybebaby54321 · 01/10/2023 16:35

Sending baby dust to you all. Keep hoping and praying. This was today, 11dpo after a max 1 hr hold!!!!
