Ovulation bleeding and short luteal phase

Hi! This is my first post on here so hopefully I’m doing this correctly! We’re on month 2 of TTC. I’m using the clear blue ovulation tests and turns out I ovulate later than expected (flashing smiley face from day 16-18 and solid smiley face today, day 19) - whilst I know it can vary for each person, my cycle is normally only 27 days long so I’m worried my luteal phase is too short, especially if I ovulate tomorrow as I know it can happen a day or two after the solid smiley face. We’ve had sex a few times over the last few days, but when we did this morning after I got the solid smiley face, there was quite a bit of pale blood/EWCM when I went to the loo and it’s still there now a few hours later, a bit like a period starting. I’ve read about ovulation bleeding but I haven’t had it as much as this before and assume too early for implantation bleeding with only just getting the positives. Is anyone able to shed some light or share some success stories please? Especially with short luteal phases? Trying to keep my spirits high!

Can't help on the blood/ewcm but I've just been given cyclogest pessaries to increase my luteal phase as it was 9/10 and think it needs to be minimum 11. I was already seeing a consultant but if it happens again for you I would think it's worth investigating further.

Thanks @AppleCrumble3 I tested today and got a BFP after bleeding last week and thinking it was my period. Hopefully just implantation bleeding but was like a normal period for 2/3 days. How are you getting on?

Wonderful news, how many days PO are you does that mean?

I'm not sure where I'm at tbh! Wasn't expecting AF naturally as still taking cyclogest and whilst it could be implantation bleeding i had yesterday/today at 9DPO/10DPO its still a guessing game for me...maybe AF has just come despite the progesterone support.

@AppleCrumble3 17 ish days since I got the solid smiley. I’m going to get a clear blue test after work to be sure. Thank you!

I’m sure the progesterone support will help you, but just for peace of mind for you - if I am positive, my luteal phase is usually only 7-8 days so there is hope!
