What supplements are you taking to improve your fertility? What has worked for you in the past?
We have started TTC our 2nd baby.
It took us 15 months to conceive our first.
I want to give us the best chance this time Round so I just went and got the following supplements:

  • Proceive Max Advanced Fertility for Him and Her. Which contains among others Folate, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Coq10, Omega 3 DHA
  • Ashwaganda for my husband
  • Fenugreek for my husband
-Maca for me

I'm just on pregnacare conception tablets. Husband on nothing yet but might give him a nudge to take some stuff next month as it's been five months now. I'm also trying a really healthy diet and not drinking any alcohol. Trying to exercise regularly too and keep stress levels low as feel like that makes more of a difference than supplements IMO. Though much easier to take supplements than stay sane that's for sure!

What is the Maca meant to support?

I’m taking Inofolic Alpha which is supposed to be very good for TTC. This is my first month taking it and I got my LH surge this morning so I’ll let you know in two weeks whether it worked!!

@CatmumTTC Sorry I didn't reply quickly. Em Maca us supposed to be good to increase your libido. Which I am struggling with. And some people swear it made the difference in conceiving for them. Going to give it a go and see.

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine Oh I have never heard of that. Let me know how you get on with it

Be careful with Maca root for women as it can cause issues if your have healthy eggs already. You need to get your hormones checked and aupervised using Maca root. For Men it is fine.

OH - Maca Root, UBiquinol 200mg, Vit D max strength, Omega 3 Max strength

Me - Ubiquinol, Vit D, Omega 3, Procieve, Iron supplements (perscribed).

Apple cider vinegar in the morning 1 tablespoon with orange juice. 3 dates.

That's about it.

Just a note that while Ashwaganda seems to improve sperm mobility it also increases the chance of sperm with genetic issues reaching the egg when it otherwise shouldn't have as it was poor quality.

So it increases your 25% chance ever so slightly every month but it also increases your chances of having a miscarriage or baby with a genetic issues.
