TTC # 2 month 5…….

Very very lucky to conceive DS1 first time.
AF arrived today so will be going into 5th month of trying.
Feeling a bit emotional today but trying to stay hopeful 💜

I'm on month 5 too, it's our first time trying so there's so much uncertainty. I never thought I would find it so hard, especially the TWW but just got sucked into tracking my cycles and symptoms! Pinterest suggested I find an online TTC community for support so I've just joined mumset today!

I'm TTC#1 on month 8, approaching ovulation any day now and have naturally gone for the every other day approach this month x

I’m on TTC 1, on our 2nd month of trying. Currently, in the TWW but I just know it’s not happened. I’ve been testing my ovulation since day 8 of my cycle and been negative ever since (day 17 today)… already feel so worried about it all (lots of family conceived first time round). Hope you ladies are coping okay and sending all the baby dust to you. :)

Conceived DC1 on the first month of trying. Now in month 5 TTC #2 and feeling so deflated.

My cycles have been all over the shop since TTC which hasn’t helped!
Weve been DTD every 3 days, I’m wondering if we should change to every 2 days? Any advice welcome x

@Kate3150 NHS recommends every 2-3 days so if you can up to every other day then go for it

How are you guys getting on? I’m going into month 5 ttc #2, my af arrived a few days ago. The ttw is getting more and more difficult. I managed to conceive ds1 the first month so although I wasn’t expecting that to happen again I expected this to happen sooner 😢

@Millie1501 in a very similar position to yourself.
Im due AF any day now, have reside myself to the fact it’s coming as feel like it is.
Worrying about everything at the moment, it not happening, age gap getting bigger etc 🤯

@Angelselevenx - no, I’ve taken the “laid back” approach but it’s obviously not working lol.
Doesnt help my cycles have ranged from 26-45 days since we have started TTC.
They were text book before and now all over the blinking place.
How are you feeling? X

@Kate3150 just typical isn't it. How are you tracking, like the Flo app or something? I haven't read much back on the forum but did I see you've got a little one already? We're you TTC long for them?

I'm okay thanks, I'm symptom spotting like mad. This month is the best chance we've given it since our chemical on cycle two, we did -5, -4, -2, 3 times on -1 and day of O. If this doesn't work (counting myself out already) I fully give up 😅 x

Yes, I have a DS, by some miracle we conceived him first time so I was a bit cocky second time round thinking it would happen quick again! X

@Kate3150 awww I’m sorry you are out this month. It just starts to feel like it will never happen doesn’t it but I know plenty of people who just take a bit longer and everything is fine. I hate that the gap keeps getting bigger also. I wanted the gap to be about 2 years but now will be happy with less than 3 years lol.

I am on cd 12 and I’m cramping so think ovulation will be soon 🤞. We started dtd on cd 7 and will continue every 48 hours until cd 20. I did use ovulation tests in previous months but they were expensive and stressed me out more. So I figure every 48 hours should cover it lol. I really hope we all get our positives soon 🤞.

@Angelselevenx sorry to hear about your chemical. I have my fingers crossed this is your month. It’s so hard isn’t it, so impossible not to symptom spot, I’ll be doing the same in a week.

@Kate3150 aww I know, you just never know what could happen that's the hardest part I think.

@Millie1501 thanks lovely, where are you in your cycle? It really is! I'm 6dpo now and track BBT so I'm constantly bloody watching that but we will see.

I think I’m ovulating or very close to ovulating (based on my symptoms and the app I use to track my cycle). I am really hoping for a positive this month 🤞👶

Month 6th of ttc baby number 2. Our first was ivf after 18 months trying. Hoping it happens naturally this time, had a chemical last cycle. Baby dust to everyone 🌟

@Swirls346 So sorry to hear about your chemical. Also conceiving your first sounds like it was a tough journey. Hopefully things will be easier this time around for you. I have heard of people who conceive quicker with their second compared to the first so you never know 🤞. What stage are you at on this cycle? Already dreading to 2ww myself haha.

@Millie1501 thank you ! It was difficult to "try" for our first as I wasn't ovulating and having very long cycles (up to 4 months!). There is a male factor issue too but just hoping it happens naturally this time. How old is your first child?
So I'm cycle day 18 and ovulating either today or tomorrow according to ovulation sticks. I've been tracking since July properly.

@Swirls346 My first is 21 months, I really don’t want the gap to be big so really hoping to conceive soon. We are giving it a good go this month lol. Oh looks like ovulation is very soon for you. How old is your first?

@Millie1501 did it take you long to conceive your first ? What stage in the cycle are you?
My little one is a similar age! He's 22 months and 2 the end of December x

@Swirls346 I was very lucky with my first, it took 1 month. I’ll admit I expected trying for my second to be quick because of this but it’s proving to be very different this time. I’m halfway through my cycle this month so it’s fertile week.

Hopefully it won't be too long @Millie1501 it can take up to a year so it's still early yet.
I sometimes wonder how I'd cope with another child to be honest. I have the worlds worst sleeper and going through it all again puts a lot of fear into me

Hey can I join? Tested negative today and due on my period tomorrow so I'm out this month. Onto month 7 TTC no1😓
