2 days late, scared to test

Hi all.

I've been getting such bad stomach cramps and feeling like AF is due for nearly a week now. The pain is getting so intense I honestly feel like it should have started already. Apps show it as 2 days late, I did 2 CB early detection tests both with BFN (one 5 days before AF due and one 2 days).

I'm scared to test because of the disappointment seeing a BFN or that something may be wrong if I am very early pregnant as it should have shown up on the early test I did. Why would the hormone levels be so low? Really driving myself mad stressing about it which probably isn't helping but I feel like I'm on with no bleeding the way the pain is. I don't this this is an early pregnancy symptom is it? I'm thinking I'll just be late this month, I might try to test tomorrow but I'm honestly just getting worried and the disappointment of seeing a BFN is putting me off.

Anyone experienced similar or words of advice?

With my first pregnancy, I had such bad cramps that I was moaning to my dh how lucky he was to not ever experience period cramps. Then I was 2 days late and just felt like my period wasn’t going to start and that’s when I took a test.

I know it can be scary and nerve wracking but please take a test, that will help you decide if you’re pregnant or maybe getting a bit stressed and having an irregular period this month.

Thanks, I know I need to just didn't have this with my 14 month old. I tested the day before I was due and it was very clearly positive. We struggled to conceive and had losses and lots of problems in pregnancy so it adds a baseline of stress. I'm going to test this afternoon when I can get to the shop to buy one

I fully understand, it’s such a stressful and emotional time. You’re afraid to be excited about the possibility.

Hey I’m kind of similar in that I’ve felt stomach cramps and like my period is going to come on for the past 3 days and it hasn’t (unlike me). Period is due today/tomorrow but BFN from early detection test today so I think I’m out, but it’s irritating when you have very different symptoms to your normal and you’re desperate for a BFP. I really hope you get your BFP this month :)

Thanks both. I did a test today and it was BFN. Now 3 days late and feeling really quite ill so wondering what's going on. I guess it could just be stress though. Considering testing with FMU tomorrow then trying to stop thinking about it for a week to see if anything happens. I'm so confused by my body right now

I’m sorry to hear you’ve both have negative tests, it’s so frustrating and upsetting.

@DawnWW could you maybe be coming down with something/ caught a bug?
