Hi
Im new to all this I’ve been testing for ovulation and according to my app I ovulated yesterday (cd 13) as that was my high and peak, then it went down (still high) but then today (cd14) it went even higher than previously. Both days I’ve had pains on each side first left then today on right and discharge. Dtd yesterday and day before and the day before that, going to do it again today and tomorrow.

Can you ovulate twice??

Yes, fairly rare but happens. You can actually get twins who are a week or so apart in gestation due to this.

Have you ever had an ultra sound? If you notice this happening again it might be worth asking your GP to check for uterine didelphys - definately be worth knowing if you have it as it usually means that you need extra monitoring during pregnancy. Its not totally uncommon - about 1 in a 1000 I think

I had an ultrasound the start of September where the doctor said I had pcos, I don’t normally ovulate twice (that I know off) this is the first time and this is the only month where I’ve had symptoms of ovulation

I'd hope that in that case the scan would have picked it up but if it happens again it might be worth asking your GP as a belt and braces approach.

Looking at these it might just be that you LH has stayed high for 24hrs (which isn’t unusual).
The test only measures LH levels and not actually whether you’ve ovulated (you usually ovulate 8-24hrs after your peak).
The reading at 7.30am on day 14 where it dropped slightly might just be because your urine was more dilute or the test didn’t develop properly (this has happened to me several times).

People with PCOS often have unreliable results from ovulation tests because they can have high levels of LH but not actually ovulate (they can also have multiple surges per month).

My friend does, she now has twins!

I agree that this could be something else if you have PCOS. Have you taken Clomid by any chance? Wondering as you said you don't usually ovulate.

Use these tests alongside monitoring your cervical mucus. Best of luck too! X

Could just be first peak wasn’t quite enough to ovulate so your body tried again a couple of days later. Very common in PCOS. If you record BBT that would help work out if that’s the case as temp wouldn’t rise post first surge.

I was going to say something similar to@Chichz

It's more likely that you didn't ovulate on the first surge than you ovulated twice.

Sorry - tagged wrong person and it won't let me delete it!

Haha no worries! 🤣
