First time BFPs while on holiday, what's next?

We've been actively trying for several months (will be first baby for both of us), and last month took Impryl every day and reduced caffeine from three drinks per day to one. I got so used to BFNs that was so surprised to have 2x BFP instant lines on Boots Early tests on first morning of family holiday - followed by 2 more later in the week, one early test and one regular test.

From date of last period it's calculating 4 weeks and 5 days, took tests 2 days before approx due.

It's been fun and games trying to hide the non-drinking, no chorizo, cured meat, or sushi eating etc on holiday in Spain with family around!
My questions are: can I get an appointment as soon as I get home to check it's all an accurate, or is it normal to have to wait until 8 weeks? Have booked in a regular GP appt and will likely take loads of tests when I get home! From experience would 4/4 positives - different days and brands, be reliable?

We are nervous to believe it's true!

I'm 8+5 and haven't been given my appointment yet. It depends on the trust where you live, but some won't schedule the booking appointment until 8-10 weeks. Mine is 9-10 weeks.

With some you self register and shouldn't need to see a gp at all, you should be able to check online if your midwifery service is self referral or not.

If it is, you can cancel the gp appointment, there's no point to it and there's nothing they can/will do for you. Unless, of course, you've been instructed to see a gp when you get a positive result. If not, GPS aren't really involved in the process.

You usually contact your local early pregnancy unit with any concerns/issues (such as bleeding, etc) and general care is with the widwives.

Yes, 4 positive results means you're pregnant. Congrats!

Thanks so much! This is helpful and I'll certainly check now re local services and self referral and then the GP appointment can be used for someone else. Very exciting, congratulations to you too!

Cancel GP appt and self refer to MW for a booking appt which should happen before 10ish weeks.

There's very little to actually be done in early pregnancy, it can be a bit underwhelming until about 28 weeks when the appts become more regular.
