Can I stop having sex this cycle?!

Got my peak OPK yesterday. Do we think I've baby danced enough this cycle? Not sure I've got any more left in me having entertained a grumpy toddler all afternoon after an exhausting day at work! I'm hoping I've actually ovulated and that there were enough swimmers waiting 🤞 Tested LH again this PM and it had dropped to negative.

Now the small matter of another TWW...

I'd actually make sure you do have sex!

Your peak means you'll ovulate within the next 48 hours, usually 24. Theres also a small window after ovulation before it gets too far when fertilisation can occur. I'd still have sex for next 2 days if you can!

Does the negative OPK this afternoon not mean anything? It was on about 3 hour wee hold at 530pm.

I agree with pp, I got my bfp this month and we didn’t actually manage to dtd that much but I’m 99% sure it was the time the day after my peak that did it!

For future cycles, it's actually recommended every other day rather than every day.

It means the surge has passed, but as I said the surge happens up to 48 hours BEFORE you ovulate. So the fact its down doesn't necessarily mean you've ovulated.

Here it explains this and that you can still fertilise an egg for up to 24 hours after ovulation occurs so you're really in peak fertility window right now.

Yeah, we've been trying SMEP this month so started CD8 with an extra one on weekend as we had a little more energy. If it doesn't happen this month though might try to do every other day throughout though. It's tiring!

Yes, I am feeling the same. LH peaked yesterday, and we have been active every day for the last four days - not easy when we are both tired, but poor hubby has to travel 3 hours every day, he joined the gym, on a diet and he is stressed at work. He is looking frazzled!! I don’t think I can do this another night either. 😂

I think maybe every other day would be my choice next cycle. I was just riding on the theory I might be more fertile during first three months of MS.

It's always a good idea to do it again after you get your peak. I got my bfp on the cycle that we did it about 12 hours after my peak, didn't do it before peak as I wasn't very well.

Please let us no how you get on..were on second month of trying using opk strips and preseed this month 🤞🤞I no its only month 2 but its so disheartening when your period comes
