Cramps since ovulation

Hey guys just want to check if anyone else is experiencing something similar. This is my third month ttc baby number 2. Each month I am getting period like cramps for a lot longer than prior to trying, a least a week before my period arrives. Before trying I would just get cramps the day before. I was not on the pill or anything so no idea why this is. I’ve been having intense cramps this cycle since 9dpo so thought period must be coming early. I am 13dpo today and still no period so I took a test this morning and it’s negative. So I can’t be pregnant as I’m sure it would show up by now, I’m just not sure why the cramping is so different for me while ttc. Anyone else relate?

i think to be honest when ttc every single pain or cramp is noticed. i remember wondering if it was cramp and it was gas! minds go into overdrive i think and we become super aware of our body.

I thought the same - it's because we're hyper aware of every little thing happening in our body. I reckon a lot of things we felt before but didn't think twice about but when TTC your brain wants everything to be a symptom so you end up noticing everything!

Yeah I do get we notice things more when we trying to conceive. When I fell pregnant with my first I didn’t notice anywhere near as much cramping. I think I had cramping one day a bit earlier than expected with my son which may have been implantation. So I’m not really expecting to cramp so much and most days when I feel the cramps I’m not even looking for symptoms. My cramps this cycle were really bad 4 days before my period was due I had to take pain relief. This never happened before we started trying, the pain is too great for it to be psychological. I do wonder if there’s an underlying issue that may be detrimental to conceiving.

I've noticed so many more PMS symptoms since TTC, stuff I never noticed before. My body plays cruel tricks on me but I think I am also way more sensitive to any changes because I am looking for changes, for any clue that this month might be the month!
