Diege · 07/03/2008 12:33

BB, to the best of my knowledge they're safe in pregnancy and ttc, but I think I'd switch to a pregnancy all-in-one as you'll need folic acid anyway. Can I tempt you in the way of my Zita West poshies???

BeMyLilBaby · 07/03/2008 12:39

thanks diege lol alread on the preg vits too just need B for energy boost!! x

Diege · 07/03/2008 12:50

Diege · 07/03/2008 12:56

Just be a bit cautious on the cod-liver oil front. Isn't that vitamin A?? (ie, should avoid in pregnancy?)

BeMyLilBaby · 07/03/2008 12:57

NJ good luck with travelling im sure it'l be great..

kay remember my prediction...!!

and Playing ....some musical therapy...

"You are so beautiful to meeeee" and "dont go changing" And finally " nobody does it half as gd as you baby your the best".... im sure the friend has lots of worries and hang-ups , mind you your talking (sort of) to some who has been known to cry to "all that she wants" by ace of base lol!!

BeMyLilBaby · 07/03/2008 12:57

oh diege i didnt know that! i shall avoid when Pg, am currently taking it to attempt to help my creaky bones lol xx

Diege · 07/03/2008 13:00

No, my mistake, tis good to take it!!! (have just googled) It's actually linked to higher birth weight babies (and less health problems like diabetes 1 in later life!!). Not sure why I'm linking it to vit A?? .
All this vit talk has reminded me to take pill 2 of the day. It's such an ordeal!

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/03/2008 13:02

BB - PMSL.

You can take omega 3 tabs for pg, think its mumomega or soemthing like that,

BeMyLilBaby · 07/03/2008 13:05

any plans for the weekend all?

Kays im so jealous, i used to go crufts every year with my grandad, he won it once with one of his dogs, he used to bread lassie-type collies and leonburgers wish i was going!!! x

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/03/2008 13:15

Me? Nothing much actually. Will be going out tonight with DH to celebrate finishing his exams but not too late as he is just told me he needs to go into work tomorrow morning to finish something! Not much else really, got to do some gardening and a couple of mated are coming round for Sunday lunch, thats it. I am def turning into an old fart, when I was setting up my facebook page on Weds I ended up putting "Am def getting old as we seem to spend much more time in then going out. When we do venture out we can normally be found propping up the bar in our local pub or shopping in Waitrose. I really do live life on the edge!" Which actually sums up my life pretty well!!!

Diege · 07/03/2008 13:16

Right BB, I hold you responsible for my latest internet purchase. Zita West vital DHA this time (obviously the day of splurging). Yep, good ole cold liver oil with some farty extras AND that's another 2 tablets to take everyday . Just hope I get pregnant soonish when I start trying - my body's not going to know what's hit it, what with all these vit and mins inever had before!

Diege · 07/03/2008 13:24

Playing, that actually sounds a really exciting, social weekend to me . That's what 3 kids does to you I suppose..
No plans as yet, though hopefull dh will take dds to MIL so that I can get some E4work done!

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/03/2008 13:37

I suppose it is, I am not anti-social as such but stay in far more than going out, which is the way I like it. I do go out pretty much every Friday even if its just for a quick half to catch up with my mates and family (my sis lives in the pub). Occassionally I go out on sat night, but prefer to stay in and cook a nice meal, sometimes just the 2 of us, sometimes with mates. I prefer it that way really, means when you do go out you enjoy it and most of the time I would rather be in. I am actually very bored of the whole "going out" thing at a weekend anyhow and I hate spending most of my weekend recovering from the night before! I would actually love to spend the weekend taking the kids to the park, going for a walk with the dog, relaxing as a family at home but as I dont have kids or the dog that will just have to wait!!!

calsworld · 07/03/2008 13:53

Diege, its was me that started the whole cod liver oil - vitamin a thing...I googled and found this, look at cod liver oil & vitamin a in pregnancy

This is why I recommended the mumomega because it isn't oil from the liver of the fish.

NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 13:55

OK Party is booked and invites are written out (worst job in the whole wide world that bit), all bills are paid, kitchen is back to how I left it yesterday (till DH came in and hit it with a hammer cooked dinner), washing is on, load that came out is hung up drying as I type, bathroom has had a quick wipe round (would normally do it at weekend, but not here), beds are all changed, uniforms are done and ready for Monday, DS2 is asleep, anything else before I get comfy?

Oh yeah, I need a wee.......

Diege · 07/03/2008 13:55

Mmm, interesting Cals - best to avoid then!
Right, good try changing the subject - have you tested yet??

NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 13:56

DS2 is not asleep.....

Blardy hell, what does a girl have to do to sit down for five minutes around here??????

OP posts:
Diege · 07/03/2008 13:57

OMG Nat, how do you get all that done with a toddler!!!! [note to self, must get festering wet dog smell wet washing on drying rack )

calsworld · 07/03/2008 13:57

Oops, posted before I finished....

This is why I recommended the mumomega because it isn't oil from the liver of the fish, but it is fish derived oil. The 'experiments' they did with omega oils showed benefits for mums of fish derived omega oils, as opposed to other sources.

I think (but am ready to be corrected) that Vitamin A is only a concern in the first trimester?

HTH

. Nor is dd3. Think we have reached that very sad time in every parent's life when their little one decides that the mid-day nap is no more.... Def time to have another one, just for the nap! (rather weird logic, I admit!)

Diege · 07/03/2008 13:59

PMSL!!!!

NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 13:59

Well, he was asleep for most of it, should have gone with my instincts and sat down while he was asleep.....will I ever learn?
