Hi all, goodness what an afternoon / evening...this is going to be a long one and not ever so exciting, so feel free to skip over!
Anyhoo, first and most important - the doctor, is a lovely, lovely man.
Firstly, my bloods came back with no anomalies, which is a relief.
He said that having diarrhoea for so long was not common and because of delayed AF not to take diareze. Said he'd actually recommend against it anyway but didn't say why. He thought it was really unlikely that my period has been delayed because of poorliness. That even though I've had one thing after another, individually none of them has been bad enough to have that kind of effect.
He got his little wheel thing out and asked me if I was 100% of 1st day, which I am as I was at mum's in norfolk (3hr trek so doesn't happen very often). He said that by his wheel if I was I would only be 4.5 weeks which was early to test even with 'early detection hpts' - his advice, test every week until I get BFP or period.
In the meantime, drink lots of water, rest as much as possible and signed me off work for another 2 weeks . He even went as far as to say that whilst he couldn't say I was pregnant, it would be where he put his money!
Then, I collected DS from nursery and brought him home for tea - he was munching away quite happily and then threw up. Poor DS, this is the third time in the last week. He'll be home with me again tomorrow, but fortunately I'm feeling a bit better this evening - I think the result of two days rest in bed and relief that doctor doesn't think i'm some kind of wailing hypochondriac (sp?).
So, good all round except the fact that there's no 'cure' for the D. At least I haven't been sick.
So, big fat question is, how long am I going to resist you lot nagging for before I test again? Not that I'm tight or anything, but I've only got one left...
Teuch, can you put your logistics hat on again and help me out? I'm a bit puzzled as to what doc thought I had done wrong with my dates - 1st day last AF was 2nd Feb, standard is 28 day cycle.
