MoosMa · 06/03/2008 17:09

Playingthewaitinggame · 06/03/2008 17:43

Heron23 · 06/03/2008 19:28

Hi, sorry to change the topic. But can someone tell me, is KY Jelly a sperm friendly lubricant? or does it hinder sperm? can anyone recommend a sperm friendly lubricant?

TTC now and really dont want to hinder the process!

lardylumps · 06/03/2008 19:30

Heron are you trying right now, and typing at the same time.... errrr step away from the mouse!!!!

On a serious note sorry I cant help you

Heron23 · 06/03/2008 19:31

Lardy! of course not! LOL, later though, DH not home yet

actually he rides his bike quite a lot, hmmmm, does that damage his sperm?

Diege · 06/03/2008 19:39

. Just got the girls up to bed, so a blissful few hours with my old mate Waterloo Road followed by Colleen's Real Women .
Only one more vitamin and I've had my 3 for the day!! Yah!! My wee is seriously bright green, so something's happening (even if it is just me weeing it all out as some claim)and really keen to keep vits and healthy diet going. Have lost a few pounds since starting on SW regime last week, and really want to get back to my target weight before ttc .
Sniff, sniff TEUCH...err yes, definitely a symptom..[diege wafts the smell of fartesiumoxide away..]

lardylumps · 06/03/2008 19:39

moos where you hinding now. Watch out heron she is being naughty tonight.

You need NJ or Teuch they know everything there is to know about TTC and sex.....

Teuch NJ where are you??????????????

Diege · 06/03/2008 19:43

Heron!! That is exactly the same question I've been thinking about!! I can't see why it wouldn't be sperm-friendly with what it contains, but I do remember purchasing somehting called 'pre-seed' [cringe] that is not only sperm friendly but gives the little buggers an extra shove as they explode . I think I'll get some..happy to pass it along the line

Diege · 06/03/2008 19:44

Oh and my dh rides his bike 40 miles a day and it ain't done his swimmers any harm..

MoosMa · 06/03/2008 19:47

K-Y Jelly does not contain a spermicide. And if Wikipedia says it, then it must be true!

lardylumps · 06/03/2008 19:49

Diege welcome back... it has been so quiet here tonight!!

Diege · 06/03/2008 19:57

Right, popping out again for Waterloo Road! back later! Be good now!

lardylumps · 06/03/2008 20:01

MoosMa · 06/03/2008 20:13

I'm off now too, I've got hotel babylon and skins to zombie in front of

kayzisbroody · 06/03/2008 20:22

Look I come home and you all leave!! I must smell.

Its Friday tomorrow and I really dont want to test as I'm terrified.

Oh and collegue(sp) of mine overheard me talking to my best friend about ttc and she has only gone and told my supervisor I AM PG!
Luckily I saw my supervisor tonight and told her that I dont know if I'm pg but if I am I will let her know. She is going to have words for me!!

calsworld · 06/03/2008 21:29

Hi all, goodness what an afternoon / evening...this is going to be a long one and not ever so exciting, so feel free to skip over!

Anyhoo, first and most important - the doctor, is a lovely, lovely man.

Firstly, my bloods came back with no anomalies, which is a relief.

He said that having diarrhoea for so long was not common and because of delayed AF not to take diareze. Said he'd actually recommend against it anyway but didn't say why. He thought it was really unlikely that my period has been delayed because of poorliness. That even though I've had one thing after another, individually none of them has been bad enough to have that kind of effect.

He got his little wheel thing out and asked me if I was 100% of 1st day, which I am as I was at mum's in norfolk (3hr trek so doesn't happen very often). He said that by his wheel if I was I would only be 4.5 weeks which was early to test even with 'early detection hpts' - his advice, test every week until I get BFP or period.

In the meantime, drink lots of water, rest as much as possible and signed me off work for another 2 weeks . He even went as far as to say that whilst he couldn't say I was pregnant, it would be where he put his money!

Then, I collected DS from nursery and brought him home for tea - he was munching away quite happily and then threw up. Poor DS, this is the third time in the last week. He'll be home with me again tomorrow, but fortunately I'm feeling a bit better this evening - I think the result of two days rest in bed and relief that doctor doesn't think i'm some kind of wailing hypochondriac (sp?).

So, good all round except the fact that there's no 'cure' for the D. At least I haven't been sick.

So, big fat question is, how long am I going to resist you lot nagging for before I test again? Not that I'm tight or anything, but I've only got one left...

Teuch, can you put your logistics hat on again and help me out? I'm a bit puzzled as to what doc thought I had done wrong with my dates - 1st day last AF was 2nd Feb, standard is 28 day cycle.

calsworld · 06/03/2008 21:38

And as a more sociable post ;-)

Lardylumps, i'm going to have to go hunting for your thread, for some bizarre reason your link takes me to "sedo parking"???

Hi everyone else - and thanks to all for kind comments, its been a real help to get it all off my chest.

Kay - you've been building up to test all week, if you don't feel ready yet, then don't do it - it won't change the result...but if you want to then go for it! Its not like you haven't got a stash!
