Hertility Results

I've just had my hertility results back and would be interested to hear if others have had results and or/thoughts on mine? They seem positive although I have a high egg count but no signs of Pcos so I think I just had plenty of eggs waiting to be fertilised 🤣

High amh can be pcos

You can ask 4 a blood test from nhs gp for polycystic ovaries

Dya mind if i ask your age ?

I recommend HH - very thorough

Angelselevenx · 15/09/2023 12:44

@worldwidetravel2017 I'm 29. Yeah I had a result of 47 which when looking online seems right but hertility said it could be a sign of PCOS however because I don't have any signs of PCOS I don't think I do, I have regular cycles and ovulate monthly so I think it's just a case of high egg count as opposed to anything else.

Have you had the hertility testing done?

Hi @Angelselevenx it sounds like you are right but could be worth getting checked out. I used Hertility and my results were similar to NHS except for prolactin which came back really high - I’ve read that it can increase with stress and I wonder if it’s because I was struggling with self testing - no blood was coming out and it was very very stressful!!

Yes i had hh done - twice - a year apart

If we ignore the last 3 months where i was grieving 4 a relative - my cycles were regular etc - still have suspected pcos tho

Angelselevenx · 15/09/2023 12:49

@Barbs3116 how were the rest of your results? Yeah, well I've got my second blood test from the doctors at the end of the month so I'll ask then if they can check for pcos

@worldwidetravel2017 did you have high AMH as well?

39.37

Angelselevenx · 15/09/2023 12:51

@worldwidetravel2017 you can have PCO which is high AMH/egg count which isn't anything to worry about it's the S in PCOS that makes a difference. PCO is different to PCOS, as PCOS is about the issues with ovulation/irregular cycles etc whereas PCO is just high egg count but normal cycles etc

Im older than u too

Positively - we managed to concieve

Unfortunately - we had an early miscarriage

Will try again

Taking b6 daily now - helps with hormone imbalances and pcos and progesterone

Still conceived tho

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/09/2023 12:54

Free soul do a pcos supplement
Myo inostol in it.
2 tablets am
2 pm

Can help hormones / pcos

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/09/2023 12:55

My pcos = regular waxing

Angelselevenx · 15/09/2023 12:58

@worldwidetravel2017 good to know thank you! I don't have any symptoms of pcos at all, including the need for regular waxing/hair growth.

I did have an early miscarriage after two months of trying and now on cycle 8 but I track BBT and OPK and ovulate monthly.

Funnily enough I have started taking b6 for lengthening luteal phase

The high amh can symbolise hormonal imbalances
Which can play a role in miscarriage

Just had a miscarriage myself

Has anyone checked your progesterone?

Nhs could do it

Or super drug

Get progesterone tested 2 /3 days after ovulation

Miscarriage could be linked to progesterone issues

Angelselevenx · 15/09/2023 13:01

@worldwidetravel2017 I've got the doctors second blood test CD20 odd to check progesterone yeah 😊 had my CD3 one last week

Ace - just bare in mind that it needs to be 2 - 3 days after ovulation

Some people book a day 21 ish test but then some dont ovulate til later in cycle

Get ya ovulation - then go 2 -,3 days after

Angelselevenx · 15/09/2023 13:11

@worldwidetravel2017 yeah exactly that, well my doctor said 7 days before period is due and b6 brings my ovulation forward so just waiting to see when I ovulate then I'll do 4 days after that for the blood test. My luteal phase is always 11 days so if I ovulate CD18 I'll go for bloods CD22

Hi @Barbs3116 , can I ask what time you did your test? All mine came back fine with doctor apart from prolactin. I took the test just after 8am, so within 1 hour of waking up. However when I redid the test a second time, around 11am it had significantly dropped. I have read it can be higher in morning just after waking up, and it should be avoided within 1-2 hours after waking… albeit doctor never told me that.

NoIncomeTaxNoVAT · 15/09/2023 14:46

High prolactin can also be a sign of PCOS.

Angelselevenx · 15/09/2023 14:47

@NoIncomeTaxNoVAT good to know thanks. Mine came back in range and not high 🤞🏼

@TTC12 ahh yes that could explain it! That’s really good to know. I was concerned, as my results were more than double the normal range on Hertility (taken at 6.30am before getting ready for work) and then the NHS one was much more relaxed around 11am. I also wasn’t told about the time of day being important…and my doctor hasn’t suggested PCOS as a possible issue after seeing NHS results. My cycles are regular. Thanks for the insight!

You can have pcos with regular cycles

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/09/2023 16:21

Hertility health test multiple things that are relevent 4 pcos

Cdoc · 15/09/2023 22:32

I had hertility back in 2021 which showed everything normal except for abnormally high AMH levels (I was 32 at the time and they were way way above the normal range). I paid for private tests to look for pcos, even though I had no other symptoms at all. I already knew I had endometriosis though.

I conceived twice first time at age 33! First time unfortunately ended in a mmc, but second resulted in my baby boy :) I did have progesterone given to me in the successful pregnancy due to bleeding. I think these tests are great but can scare you a bit!

Cdoc · 15/09/2023 22:38

Just to add, my AMH was 114!
