What do people take beforehand / during? Pregnacare seems so pricey and there are cheaper folic acid in a pot in the supermarket. Are these the same or should I take pregnacare? Obviously you can't put a price on these things but don't want to buy anything just for the packaging!

Before, only vitamin D and an iron supplement containing some folic acid. During, I took just Tesco folic acid and same vitamin D. Those brands are a bit of a scam, you pay for the label. It’s much better to get nutrients from your diet, most of those supplements go straight through you!

Before conception i took supermarket brand folic acid and vitamin d.

During pregnancy I’ve taken pregnacare as my husband bought me some, but I’ve finished that and just bought Asda’s version, which is the same and half the price.

My midwife friend also bought me Wilko’s version for my last pregnancy.

Pregnacare always made me feel sick so I had to stop taking them, even looking at the box made me queasy
I found some nice pregnancy vitamin gummies but ended up with Boots folic acid with vitamin D, small tablet once a day has worked a treat

My BIL os a Consultant OBGYN and said you just need correct amount of Folic Acid thats it. Added bonus is Omega 3 and Vit D. As I am deficient I take Vit D3 anyway.
With my LO back in 2021 just took those my entire pregnancy.
But now I am 36 and we are not having success I added Pregnicare just to try for 3 months to see if it works. I also started Ubiquional and Maca Root for Egg quality.
