Just wondering if anyone has heard from her - I know she decided to take a break (which I totally understand) - I was just thinking of her and hoping she's OK.

If you are lurking hun - take good care of yourself

I am wasting time on hold with BT - and thought I would have a nosy to see how everyone is doing... and I see this thread - thank you for thinking of me Chocolatedays, really lovely of you. So sweet, in fact, that you have forced me to break my self-imposed MN posting ban

I'm ok. I've just come to a blip in the ttc road - I can't stomach any more failure And some days I consider throwing the towel in - although other days I am my usual pain-in-the-arse optimistic nut-job.

How are you??? What's the latest?

minxi · 04/03/2008 20:47

Oh Ready - know how you feel...back to cd1 for me today - have just opened wine and poured LARGE glass!!! spent most of the afternoon putting clothes away and crying! Pulled myself together now! Hope you are ok - did you start your job ? Stay in touch - I am the same wanting to throw the towel in but can't!!

Chocolatedays · 04/03/2008 21:12

Hey Ready - Good to hear from you!

I'm good thanks (just had 22wk scan and all seems fine!). I know the feeling about wanting to throw the towel in and for a while I adopted a bit of a hedonistic lifestyle which was good for the soul if not the credit card!
I found it helped to get a hospital appointment in the diary (or at least on the waiting list) and I tried to accept there's not a lot we could do until then so I stopped taking the folic acid, agnus castus, alternative treatments etc. etc. As you know it didn't help me get pg but did give me a break from the ttc torment for a while.... and helped me and my dh come to terms with the idea of IVF.

Take care honey
Choc x

I was just coming on to say she'd banned herself from MN but is ok otherwise and what do I find - she's bloomin' snuck on :P

Ready · 06/03/2008 20:38

Choc - 22 wk scan!! Where is the time going!? How exciting! Minichoc will be here in no time at all!! Just remind me, how long were you ttc?
I'm in a weird limbo place at the moment, emotionally, I have no motivation to make the necessary calls to get moved over from my last gynae to one in my new area. I don't get it really, I think that putting it off is just hiding from dealing with it I guess I think I need a kick up the bum! Perhaps once I get in my new job I will feel more settled and able to push ahead.

Minxi, not started the new job yet... getting impatient waiting for the start date! But keeping busy temping, which is an eye-opener! Can't wait to get some stability in my life - I am clinging to the fact that it might just be all we needed this whole time? Foolish? How are you anyway? Sorry to see CD1

Nomore, thanks for coming on to say I am ok, you are a gem

toomuchtimeonline · 07/03/2008 10:09

big hugs ready {toomuch squeezes Ready}

I took about 3 months off MN when I went through a similar phase and it did me the world of good - I drank lots - ate things I shouldn't - and booked in to do all the things you can't when you are pregnant! So you do whatever you need to get through it girl We're all thinking of you thought and hope you lift out of your gloom soon!!

hugs

Chocolatedays · 07/03/2008 18:49

Ready - three and a half years of ttc - I went loopy some/most of the time.

I agree with Toomuch why not go for a summer of debauchery!? I'm not a fan of "relax and it'll happen" (grrrrr, in fact it really irritates me) but long term ttc made me (and my dh) very miserable and sometimes you need to give yourself an enourmous dose of fun - my dh loved having a resemblance to the old me back on the razzle for a while.

thinking of you
Choc xx

Well done you Choc, three and a half years! I think I will probably take longer. But then that is a defeatist attitude, and I am embracing positivity at the moment... well, at least the silver-lining seeker that I normally am This month the plan is to book a holiday if we don't get lucky this month... so win-win (ish)

Nice to see you toomuch, hope you are well?

beansprout · 12/03/2008 16:37

Hi Ready - just wanted to say hello!!!

Hi Choc too!!

hobnobs · 12/03/2008 17:02

And hello Ready from me as well if you're still lurking

We miss you on the TTC No 1 thread but I don't blame you for wanting to take a break from here. A holiday sounds great.

Ready · 12/03/2008 19:16

Beansprout!!! How are you?

Hobnobs, thanks chick - the break has done me the world of good, and I am back for a bit
