Ovulation CD10

Hi, my cycle is 25/26 days and I'm ovulating around day 10. Cycle 8 of trying and I'm wondering whether I'm ovulating too early and that's why we haven't been successful. There's lots on Google about how to extend the luteal phase although mine is fine at 14-16. Any tips/info on how to extend the follicular phase please?

Afraid I have no advice but I think I’m exactly the same boat as you. Trying for about 7 months. I got a lot of EWCM on cd 10 this month so maybe ovulating then or cd 11. Looking online, there’s a lot of chat about being “perimenopause” which is concerning but hopefully rubbish seeing as I’m only 33! There seems to have been very few large scale studies done on this though and certainly reports of healthy children being born with early ovulation. Hope some people can provide advice :)

Hi @Pheasant28761 Yes I've seen that too but my bloods were all ok so I hope and don't think I'm peri. I'm 38. I've seen a few ladies say they have successful pregnancies amd always ovulate around cd10/11. I do hope someone somewhere has some advice. Are you ttc #1? This is our 1st and hoping to be able to have another in a couple of years

Yep ttc #1….the way things are going I’d be happy with 1 healthy baby! But 2 would be nice as well. Never been pregnant before so a big part of me is worried there is something wrong although I know lots of couples do naturally take a while. My husband and I have decided to get private tests done at the end of the year if nothing has happened. In the last 2 months I’ve basically given up alcohol and am trying to eat very healthily so I’m hoping that will have an effect. Did you get tests done privately or through nhs if you’re uk based? I was taking preconception pills for about 6 weeks but they made my mucous dry up (I think) and on my last cycle, all my PMS symptoms ramped up ridiculously so I’ve just stopped taking them as I feel I have a healthy, mixed diet so I can’t see how I’d be lacking in vits.(but still taking folic acid). I guess a big part of me thinks 2 young-ish healthy people should just be able to get pregnant naturally so trying not to think about it but it’s hard. Losing hope every month! Anything you’ve tried or swear by?

Same, we'd be grateful for one happy healthy pregnancy. Has your GP done any tests yet? I'm onto decaff, it's easier than I thought till I'm tired and need some caffeine 😵‍💫 I've read alot that says the chances of pregnancy are something low like 20/30%. So there may be nothing wrong at all. I'm stopping my prenatals too this cycle. Will just be taking Folic acid, vit D, maybe B6 and a multi vitamin. Am undecided on taking q10. I have pcos and I find that reducing my carb intake helps me be less bloated and I think it's helped my cycle before too. Apart from that I aiming to move more, eat better and I'm trying intermittent fasting. I'm going to try and relax too because I worry stress and cortisol levels could be having an impact. From a mental health point of view, try and keep busy ams make time for yourself. Sorry for the essay lol x

I'm in the same boat, currently on cycle 9 of TTC and usually ovulate around CD10/11. I've not even had a hint of a positive test yet and I'm also wondering whether my short cycles are having something to do with it (24-26 days). I often start getting EWCM (when I get it) from CD7 (even 6 some cycles!).

I'm 38 so feel like time is running out! Me and my partner have both had tests done and all have come back fine except for raised Prolactin so I've got to go for a retest for that and get it looked into if still high. I was so worried that my tests would come back showing peri-menopause, there doesn't seem to be any sign of that but I am worried about egg quality given my age and googling has made things worse! My cycles have got a couple of days shorter over the last few years which also worries me. I'm not sure if anyone has found any supplements/dietary changes etc to lengthen the follicular phase? My luteal phase is a normal length but I don't know how to get my body to stop ovulating so early! I would also like to hear some success stories as I feel like I'm giving up hope at this point!

Hi @Butterfly2000

We are the same age, have the same cycle length and TTC!

Have you had any luck? I'm on month 2 of TTC...currently CD10 so due to ovulate tomorrow ish!

Butterfly2000 · 25/09/2023 18:42

Hi! @YewTree84 I'm cd14 and no sign of ovulation yet. Have had a few niggles near my ovaries over the last couple of days and more today but my lh is still low. I have pcos and increased my Metformin dose so not sure if that's pushed my ovulation back. Trying to stay calm but I'm a little worried. This is cycle 8 for me. How are you feeling this cycle? Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Guys

I highly recommend hertility health ... 150 gbp & many tests done...
Ive used them twice
Spring last yr
Summer this year

36 yo
We concieved second cycle trying - super lucky
But had an early miscarriage

We are trying again

Have you had your feretin - b12 and vit D all checked?
You need good feretin - b12 - & vit D numbers for conception and pregnancy

Also good to consider a thyroid function test - although tommys baby charity addditionally often recommend that after a miscarriage too..

Being over 35 means it can take longer & risk of miscarriage higher

Coq10 can help improve egg quality in over 35s

Zinc daily can help with hormones and 'order ' - etc

worldwidetravel2017 · 25/09/2023 19:44

The cycle we concieved on my ovulation was day 21

The cycle b4 that - my ovulation was day 28 - & that was a longer cycle
