How long did TTC n2 take

Our son is 3 years old now and we have decided to TTC n2.
It took us 15 months to conceive our DS. We were getting worried about infertility.
So I am trying not to get my hopes up this time. And to put less pressure on it.
But I wanted to find out how long it took others to conceive their second baby, especially if it took a while with their first.
Also worth mentioning I am in my mid 30s now.

Well, I conceived on 3rd cycle however unfortunately had a MMC at close to 12wks. I then wanted to try again asap and just had a BFP on my 4th cycle after the loss but unfortunately it's a chemical which I am currently losing.... so... didn't take long to conceive.. but taking longer to have a successful pregnancy. I'm 37... guess egg quality may be playing a part. However, not sure how far into your mid-30s you are. I conceived my son on my 4th cycle tracking with opks when I was 34 - gave birth at 35. Healthy pregnancy with no concerns for him throughout.

I think any fertility journey is so individual. There are women in their 40s who have no issues, and women in their 20s who struggle lots. There are women who take ages with their first and conceive almost immediately with their second, and vice versa... We just have to journey the path we are on. I've had a tough few months but I'm here, surviving it, and still keen to go again! I wish you all the best with it. It's a tough ride at times but hopefully worth it in the end 😊💕

It took my cousin 9 years. A friend of mine conceived her 2nd when the 1st was only 2 months old!

Just go for it without further delay and get a fertility mot at a private clinic if you've reason to think there's a problem.

Hi unfortunately for me I have had 4 MC ttc2 and currently trying to figure out what’s next and how much more I can go though.
I took a year to convince dd1 but had no concerns once conceived, I have since managed to get pregnant quickly but the pregnancies don’t progress well (2 chemical and 2MMC). I wish you a smooth journey and all the best

Approx 3 minutes! First born was 5months old and was refusing breast feeding. Had my period et voila. I was 36. Was a conscious decision. Went back to work after maternity leave already pregnant.

First cycle for second.

Took 3 years for DC1 but that was because of multiple losses.

Best of luck!

First took 4 cycles and second took 15.

I've read so many similar threads and it seems really variable.

It seems lots of people find it easier to conceive 2nd time around, but as we're all older, you also find lots of people struggle.

I hope it doesn't take long for you OP!

Literally the first time of trying, or as I always say on here 'about ten minutes' Grin

It really was a bit of a surprise as it had taken 11 months to conceive DS1, and we thought we'd start trying as we were expecting it to take ages again.

I certainly didn't expect to have two DC just 16 months apart.
