2 years 10 months and counting 🙃

There is only something like 20% chance of conception every month even when absolutely everything is working perfectly so I wouldn't worry if it hasn't happened in the first month. If still nothing after 6 months you can approach your GP for some initial tests. Here's hoping you won't get that far though 🙏good luck x

3 years and 3 rounds of IVF for first DC

3 months and natural conception for 2nd DC

SisterMichaelsHabit · 11/09/2023 10:32

DS1 took 7 years.

moosey89 · 11/09/2023 10:35

2.5 years first time, 6 months second time, still no living children as both ended in miscarriage unfortunately.

There's only a small chance that it works each month, even if you time everything perfectly, have perfect fertility health etc. It's perfectly normal to take up to a year to conceive and sometimes longer x

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 11/09/2023 11:08

It's something like a 25-30% chance of established pregnancy when there are no fertility issues and everything is timed right.

It's not just about sperm meeting egg, that actually happens most of the time you have well timed unprotected sex. Unfortunately, the majority of sperm-egg pairings just aren't viable. Chromosomal abnormalities can cause an early loss that some aren't even aware of.

It sounds horrific, but it's natural and occurs in perfectly healthy couples.

It's basically just luck, which is why some fall straight away and it takes others longer.

My bfp was on the 5th cycle and I consider myself lucky it didn't take longer.

SnookyPook · 11/09/2023 11:11

Age 34, 1 year total but 4 cycles of using opks and timing better. Healthy pregnancy.

Age 36/37, 3 cycles, MMC at 11+4
Age 37, 4 cycles, chemical (just happened)...

So, two pregnancies this year... Hoping my rainbow baby will be along soo. Managing to conceive but bit worried about quality... 🤞🏻💕🌈

mikikki · 11/09/2023 14:19

I fell pregnant on accident with my 1st, was on the pill! Then 13 month sadly ended in mc, 4 month later fell pregnant again and currently 8 week gone.
Lots of baby dust 💗 keep on doing what you are doing, it will happen💚

PinkRoses1245 · 11/09/2023 14:43

Kindly, please reset your expectations. It's common to take a year even for couples with no issues. it took us 4 months but that was without any tracking, but sadly lost that pregnancy.

hdbs17 · 11/09/2023 14:47

First pregnancy - about 7 months.

Second - 4 months.

Third - 3 months.

Fourth - 1 month.

Mummyme87 · 11/09/2023 14:58

DS1 unplanned
DS2 6 cycles
ectopic pregnancy unplanned, had sex once after stopping pill and being sure I wasn’t in FW
current pregnancy 19months

genesis92 · 11/09/2023 15:24

Christ, you really shouldn't be panicking at month 2. It can take time

Took us around 18 months

Bex4567 · 11/09/2023 15:30

First attempt when I was 35.
It took about 8 months second time round when I was 37.

Lollyloup91 · 11/09/2023 16:05

2 months 1st time
3 months second 😊

Lollyloup91 · 11/09/2023 16:05

And I was 28 and 31

CurlyWurly1991 · 11/09/2023 16:13

#1 1st month at 27
#2 currently waiting to ov on a long cycle 4. No luck so far.

FigandHoney · 11/09/2023 16:18

First one took us 15 months.
Even if you are perfectly healthy and everything is timed correctly there is only a 25% chance. It's like rolling the dice. Luck of the draw.
Don't give up

1st pregnancy - 3 cycles at 25
2nd pregnancy - 1 cycle at 29 (MMC)
3rd pregnancy - 6 cycles at 29
