Hoping someone's been in a similar situation, or able to tell me to get a grip

I had strong opks and ewcm cd 18/19 so assumed I ovulate around then.
I had day 21 bloods for progestrone which came back as borderline, and to have repeated next cycle. At this point I was convinced that they could've been borderline as ovulation only just happend around cd18/19, not the usual cd14.

Expected period to happen this weekend, but to my surprise cd28 (weds just gone) my period arrived, about 10/11dpo.
Bleeding started off light, and got heavier as the days gone on and still bleeding now. Not enough to fill a complete pad but a reasonable amount, including clots. Sorry tmi

I had accepted the fact that I am out this cycle, however led myself to believe that maybe I never ovulate as if my progestrone level on day 21 was borderline, how could my period be the following week? Unless I didn't ovulate?
Or maybe just have a short luteal phase. Will get bloods repeated next cycle anyway to confirm this.

I have been looking up some stories on here on how ladies have had quiet heavy bleeding which actually turned out to be implantation. I know that's probably the minority but I am clinging onto any bit of hope and reason that this could be, especially as I had these bloods done.

I did an easy@home test this afternoon, I know I shouldn't have but checked after the ten minute time frame, but before 20 minutes after taking the test and I can see the hint of a line. Am I clutching at straws?
I know all I can do is wait, and re test and tell myself to discard the test after 10 minutes but I am just getting so down about all this especially when it feels that everyone else falls pregnant so quickly around you.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

This is the test, there is definitely colour in the line but I understand its after the 10 minutes.

you could have ovulated day 20 if opks were strong on 18/19. In which case your progesterone likely won’t be high yet on day 21.

I can see the faint line for sure! It’s hard to say at the moment, more testing over next few days is needed. It could be a chemical pregnancy if your tests get lighter/negative. Otherwise early bleeding/implantation can be normal. I had faint tests that got stronger despite heavy bleeding around the time my period was due. Good luck!

Hi rose - I too have had previous pregnancies where I have bled - and I mean bled badly and it still work out fine - I have also had false positives on these tests tho and also another false positive I believe last night on the ic- hope that’s not the case for you - do you have any opk you can also use ? I’d be inclined to keep eye on bleed and get a better test - a cb digital would show if you have a viable pregnancy and you want to see the words - but if it’s a new one and not long ovulated try and hang tight and do another test in a couple of days - good luck

I did another test yesterday evening but with water, and nothing appeard after the time frame at all. However just done two more this morning with fmu and both negative so I've binned them all.
I tested once the bleeding started around weds last week with an early detection boots one and it was negative.
I think it'll be a matter of wait and see, I promised myself I wouldn't go crazy with testing and now I have!

It is - I have had a crazy cycle - random bleeds - random +opk then last night I had a positive test - this morning a bfn 🙄 I hate these tests tbh
no idea what cd I am on as not sure what bleed counter as period … so I tested because I had a + opk 2 weeks ago - but I had vvv dark opk Thursday - Saturday just gone too -
I will take my positive hcg and a false one- and now will either get period or test again in a week or so … I’m not buying anymore of these one step tests tho - I’ve seen so many false positives for me and other ppl - heart breaking

It really is heart breaking, I hope it all works out for you. People say when ttc to not stress, those people obviously conceived very easily and never had to go through this every month.

So I just did a test this afternoon, approx 8 minutes after this line began to develop and got darker (beyond the ten minuites) so I did another one using the same urine and same result.
I also thought I test one again in water and nothing at all.

If I am bleeding and there is some blood in the cup when I pee, could the urine mixed with the blood alter my result and give me a false positive? I am not getting hopes up as tests this morning were bfn.

I would say your pregnant - how heavy is your bleeding ?

I really don't want to get my hopes up. Not telling my husband until I get a digital positive, that's if I ever do.

It started off light, got heavier and it looks like it's calming down today. There has been some clots and been bright red in colour.

I think if I never had these day 21 bloods done and they didn't come back at borderline I would of just put it at I miscalculated ovulation and period arrived sooner. But I'm clinging onto hope x

Why don’t you get a digital and put your mind at rest x

I've heard they don't pick it up so easily?

Plus I find them so brutal haha im not sure if I can take seeing the words not pregnant just get 😅

I remember bleeding so bad as in flooding - I didn’t even look at the screen when I went into the scan and then dr said there’s baby and heartbeat !

@Tes004 just did a boots early and another cheapie both negative, this was after about a 3.5 hr hold

Negative tests ever since including 6 day early digital. Bleeding has stopped now.

it’s so hard this journey isn’t it ,, I had tried clomid for the 1st time and then on cd 12 ish started to bleed / didn’t class it as a period as was ment to be ovulating then - then out of the blue had a random bleed after ddt - literally just then - now today I’m cd43 I think 🤔 with positive opk thurs-Saturday last weekend -
kind of thought it was showing an early pregnancy then got excited with my positive ic test which turns out to be false ! All tests since have been bfn - so I’m just counting down days as 4dpo today … if I bleed then I’ll start another clomid round .. I’m not desperate to conceive as I’m so lucky to have children already via ivf and my youngest naturally- but me and husband said we would try again but I have said this next cycle will be my last … it’s too emotionally draining, with chemicals and the ifs and buts … x
