Is my GP bonkers ??? Tests on day 14 !

Hi, just plucked up the courage to see my GP. He has ordered a thyroid function test (all good) then FSH/LH and oestradiol tests on day 14 ! I thought that these sort of tests should be day 3 or something?

Is my GP bonkers, or am I being unfair and don't understand what he is looking for?

How long is your cycle?

I am having the 21 day test on day 18 instead as I have a short cycle. Not sure about the others though. I had tests done last month on the day I went to the doctor which luckily for me was day 4.

Dead ordinary 27/28 days. Think I have a short luteal phase though as ov around day 18. I've never even heard of a day 14 test. Have you?

LH and FSH tests are usually done on day 3 or perhaps day 10. Never heard of day 14 (unless he is working along the lines of a 28 day cycle but even so this is not normally done so late).
