Just had an early scan at 4+6. They could see a 2.3mm gestational sac but no yolk sac as of yet. Is this normal? I have another scan in 2 weeks. I'm praying for my 🌈 🙏🏼🤍

Can I ask why you were offered a scan at this very early gestation?

I had one at 5+1 due to bleeding and there was literally nothing on the scan, zero! Despite my hcg being well over the threshold to be able to see something.

It was thought it was ectopic and I was rebooked to have another scan at 6+1 before taking action as I was well.

At 6+1, there was baby, measuring exactly on dates with a very good strong heartbeat.

I'm now 24 weeks! I wish you all the luck in the world.

Having a gestational sac visible is more than what I had!

Gosh it's certainly not normal to be offered a scan that early. But yes it's normal not to see a single thing on a scan that early, good luck for your next scan
