i am getting a bit annoyed now and feel like i have been more than patient.
I came off the pill in Sept and ive not even had one af. Ive been to the docs and had a blood test, all is fine, they said just wait a while longer. Im trying to be positive and think lose a bit of weight, get body in good condition to have a baby, but its starting to get me down a little bit.
Anyone got any ideas how i can kick start things?

Hi there- I had something similar. I went off Pill in May then nothing. I went to doctor and they said this often happens and just be patient. She was right- I got AF in July.

I got pg right away, but unfortunately lost that baby. Then no AF for 6 months. They ended up putting me on clomid to "kick start".

Im really sorry to hear that.
How is the clomid going for you?

It's not. I was on clomid for 7 months and it did sort out my cycle, but I sadly didn't fall pg. Still trying!

Good luck to you. I found I really had to push the GP who was totally useless. I ended up paying to go private and it was only then that I started to get help, sadly. Now with a much better GP, though!

Hiya

you could try agnus castus. I have a mild case of pcos and after my 2nd baby last May I waited 8 months for af with no sign.

last month I took 2 agnus castus tablets twice a day and it gave me a 28 day cycle.

Might be worth a try.

I bought mine from Hooland and Barratt

I tried that too as I was desperate, but I would be very careful about self medicating. I'm not convinced Agnus Castus didn't make things worse...

What hormone levels were tested, do you know?. My guess is that the result of the blood test was misinterpreted. It's not a question solely of waiting longer; that just delays things. I would return to the GP and ask for a referral to a gynae asap. Do not take no for an answer!. At the very least the blood test should be repeated along with having an ultrasound scan done.

I would also look into changing GP practice - this one sounds hopeless.

Do not self medicate with agnus castus - often such problems you describe are due to hormonal imbalances (a condition called polycystic ovaries is a common culprit).

I would now go all out to determine exactly what the underlying cause of the problem is rather than trying to self medicate. Therefore returning to the GP now is a must.

You will need to be persistant in order to get answers.
