Hi! New here. I’m going through iui treatment to conceive my first child. We are doing iui because we are an lgbt couple not because of any known fertility issues, though I’ve had little idea of whether I have them or not as I’ve been in same sex relationships for much of my life

Our iui was 11 days ago and I caved and tested yesterday. It seemed like there was a shadow of a line after 30 mins but I assumed it was an evaporation line. I took another in the pm and could def see something faint within 5 mins, but it only looked darker after 30. Same this morning. Are these evaporation lines? Apologies for the image quality they’re taped down but I think you can see the lines. The top was the first I did, the bottom this morning.

they’re just boots test strips. I don’t want to get my hopes up!

thanks xxx

They look positive to me..

Sunnny1990 · 05/09/2023 08:49

They’re pinker in person too. I’m just worried as they seem to get much more visible when dry.

I also just can’t believe it our other iui failed and this time I had no symptoms plus less mature follicles, sperm quality was lower, I had given up!

100% those are positive, congratulations!

@Sunnny1990 with the tests being in order of when you took them I'd imagine it would be really very unlikely for evaps to get darker the same way a true positive test would. I'd go out & get yourself one of the CB ultra early ones & test again, as it does look like you're pregnant🤞🏼 good luck!!

Look positive to me. I recommend boots early response tests. They’re very good and don’t give Evaps or indents

I did one of those tests on 8dpo and a faint line came up but beyond the window where you're meant to look at them, so again I assumed an evaporation line, though I just read something on here that evaporation lines have no dye in them and if there's any dye at all then there is HCG and if there is HCG then its a pregnancy. I'll do another first thing tomorrow. eek!

Now to worry about whether or not it will stick lol
