asda test re known for false positives i think. this test has 3 lines to me? can people just give their opinion i think it looks like it's faulty batch. As even tho it came up in the time frame for both it seems that there is multiple thin pink lines.
Note - i have a coil had it for 8 months, last month my oh mentioned he felt something poke him dtd which has never happened before but i didn't think much of it.
I have totally stopped my periods august which it's supposed to do so i wasn't to worried but thought i would test to ensure i'm all good.
please put my mind at rest these are just bad tests

Honestly, I think there could be something starting there, but try again with a pink line test in a couple of days and see what happens.

If you're pregnant with an IUD you will be far from the first.

Bl0ndeye · 03/09/2023 10:16

i got an IUD as my youngest has autism & global developmental delay and needs like 24/7 care so we decided we wouldn't be able to hand anymore children. I have 3 😥

I hear you. I had a few before I had my child who needs full time care. The last thing I'd want is to be pregnant. Good luck with a negative next time, since I think that's clearly your preference.

Bl0ndeye · 03/09/2023 10:25

You don't sound like an awful person. We all have different circumstances and it's okay to hope you're done with adding to your family.

letitgoh · 03/09/2023 12:10

It looks more like an evap to me, and the odds of it being a true positive are very low (although of course it still can happen). Hoping your mind gets put to rest soon🤞🏼 and you absolutely do not sound like an awful person, it's a completely personal choice & not for anyone else to judge x

GuessHowMuch · 03/09/2023 15:09

Hope it goes the way you want it to @Bl0ndeye. I’ve had tests that looked like that - positives, evaps and a chemical.

My gp told me that a poas test can show false negative but never a false positive.

I would re test with your first wee of the day the hormones are apparently stronger then so if it is early days you may not see it if you test later on in the day.

It's often not really a false positive it's the test itself showing evaporation or indent lines. I have had many myself. Clearblue are the worst for showing a line when not pregnant. But normally on those the line comes up after the official time and its very thin. It is however a dark blue line. So for people who don't read the instructions properly and come back to look at it after the time limit I can see why they'd get their hopes up. Then there's the recent FRER tests that have a very obvious indent line that some people mistake for a positive as its faint enough to be a possible positive and also can look a tiny bit pink.
So yes while technically true false positives are very rare, it's the test itself looking like a positive when it's not that is actually a lot more common.
