Hey, I have had 2 miscarriages prior so I'm so unsure. Is this a positive? Really hoping this is my time for baby no2 🙏🏼 does anyone have any dos and donts when in early stages? Xx

I don't usually respond to these , particularly as I have cataracts but congratulations!

Just had an early scan at 4+6. They could see a 2.3mm gestational sac but no yolk sac as of yet. Is this normal? I have another scan in 2 weeks. I'm praying for my 🌈 🙏🏼🤍

@Eho97 im surprised they scanned you so early, I didn’t get a scan till 7 weeks with DS because they said they wouldn’t be able to see anything

Eho97 · 08/09/2023 13:50

I have been having cramping so they seen me. Don't often know if an early scan is a good idea or not as just makes you Google loads and worry!!

@Eho97 Normally EPUs don't see you until at least around 5-6 weeks as there's so little to see before then. Everything online suggests that a yolk sac isn't visible until around week 5 so I don't think it's anything to worry about that you didn't see anything before this.

MixedCouple · 08/09/2023 14:35

Yes but it is pointless having an early scan anything before 7/8 weeks is useless. As now you have more questions and worries. Ideally no one shoupd have a scan until 12/13 weeks unless a medical emergency.

@MixedCouple I understand but for some people those first few weeks can be a very anxious time due to previous experiences

@Eho97 of course they can be I understand how you are feeling, I hope you are not too anxious about the results of your scan though. It’s just such a worrying time!!
Hope everything is as it should be on your next scan.
