10 DPO and negative OPK

Am I out? I have been putting off testing for ages and heard that if you get a positive OPK around this time it means you are pregnant! Mine couldn't be more negative!

I know I should use a pregnancy test but I am so not prepared for another BFN...

Hi I’ve been TTC for 16 months and I am 9dpo and got s negative on clearblue opk . I’m also 37 so am guessing I’m out for another month . Sending positive vibes to you and baby dust 💙

@Tottenhaminmyblood it's so disheartening isn't it! I am 26, have irregular cycles (90 days now around 37/38) so feel even more like time is wasted! We have partner booked in for SA but that isn't until November now.....

Every TWW I give myself hope and convince myself these little signs mean something but I am just convinced now it won't happen!

Fingers crossed for you and sending lots of baby dust. Are you going to do anything different next month if not pregnant? I think I might try pre seed xx

In the kindest way possible, if you are still testing early and getting disheartened at a negative result, you might as well test with an actual pregnancy test. OPKs can be triggered by pregnancy hormones but they can also surge before your period so at best they're less reliable than a HCG test and at worst they could cause you lots of confusion and upset.

Good luck, I know how hard it is each month getting a bfn. The month I conceived I used pre seed, the fertilily cup, ate pineapple and had a warm bath around implantation. I also put my legs up a wall for 5 minutes every day to “increase blood flow to the reproductive organs” which I researched was good after being on coil for ten years and struggling to conceive. I don’t know if any of these things worked or it was a coincidence, but I thought I’d share. Baby dust

@ABLOSSOM i will probably try pressed next month . i have just say here and done another clearblue opk and it’s positive . I’m not sure what this means it was negative last night . Unless I am ovulating again ? Is that the soonest your partner can get booked in ? I totally understand the TWW I just convince myself and then am heartbroken xx

@sugarplum33 thank you for your kind words . I think I have done the opk as whilst they show negative in my mind they aren’t pregnancy tests so i am still in with a chance . I know it probably sounds crazy. 💙

This isn't always true, my opk at 8dpo was darker yes but not positive, then when I got my bfp from 9dpo all my opks have been negative like zero line coz I wanted to test the theory.

@sugarplum33 you are so right! I have ordered some Easy @ home ones on Amazon to come tomorrow because I may as well use an actual pregnancy test. Did a FRER just now and starting to feeel like I see something that most likely isn't there. I took apart the test as well and think it's just driving me crazy. Thank you for your message though I really appreciate it ❤️

@ABLOSSOM 10dpo as well and testing negative on pregnancy tests still but its early!

opks are stark close to 0s but that’s exactly how it was at the start of the cycle as well. I’ve heard people talk about the positive opks but that’s not necessarily a sign you’re pregnant or not!

ive also tracked BBT and that is still high and unless that drops in a few days it can very well still happen. Fingers crossed you get positive news soon. Whens your AF due?
