Vitamins advice

Hi all. I have a couple of questions on vitamins - we recently had a MMC last month but keen to try again once ready (hoping my pregnancy test tomorrow is negative so we can then assess where we are emotionally).

I take folic acid and vitamin D (previously tried pregnacare but came out in bad hives). The GP and midwives have said this is all I need, as did the sonographers both in NHS and private that did my scan. However after MMC I am wondering whether I need to better my body for next time. I've read good things about proceive but the price tag is very high! Please can people share their experience of this?

Also - my husband doesn't take a conception vitamin and to be honest i had never heard of this until I googled. When I've looked it says that there's lack of conclusive evidence in studies to show that this helps. Please can I check to see if anyone's partners take these and if so experiences/recommendations of this?

Thank you

All I took was folic acid under the advice of gps and consultants. A midwife said there was a lack of evidence surrounding other vitamins so they wouldn’t recommend them. She did point out she had heard patients talk positively about them but they only talk positively if they have become pregnant, she still had a number of friends spending a lot of money with nothing happening.

I was encouraged to try keep myself healthy and take folic acid. My dh took the make version of pregnacare (can’t remember the name) but he didn’t take them religiously, he usually forgot so maybe only took 2-3 a week.
